So my issue is similar to things I've read here and on other sites but I cannot find a fix for it. I've had my computer for 3 years now and haven't had any problems until two nights ago where my monitor lost signal and my fans started spinning super loud. I manually shut it down and went to bed not really worrying about it. However, the next day when I turned it back on it loads up to the login screen and right after I log in the monitor loses signal and the computer restarts - this happens over and over in a constant cycle unless I bring up the BIOS or start it in safe mode. After messing around a bit, I found the computer runs fine in safe mode, and I was able to remove my GeForce driver, which then allowed me to boot up and log in normally with no issue. I've tried reinstalling the drivers or even installing older drivers, but every time they are finished installing the fan kicks up and the monitor loses signal and I am locked into the cycle where the computer reboots every time it gets to the login screen.

I don't think power is the issue and I've checked the RAM. I also don't think it's an issue with the motherboard. It has something to do with the graphics card/drivers, but I can't tell if it's a software or hardware issue. I don't have another card to try out at the moment but I will ask a friend of mine if we can test that out later. Anybody got any ideas? It just happened randomly out of the blue after 3 years.

    Hello,

I am sorry to hear that. I know you said you cant at the moment test a separate card but have you tested your card in a separate system? Or perhaps in another PCIE lane?

I am waiting for a friend of mine to get off work pretty soon so I can ask to test it in his system. I have not tried another PCIE lane, I can do that in the meantime.

Have you tried powering your card with a different pci-e power cable?

Yes I tried that and have still been using the other cables. I was hoping it would be an issue with power, but now I doubt it.

Same problem here with 3 way sli 780 evga hydro copper. Have 3 monitors - only one is detected. Every time i re-install drivers for cards - they are shown as "error 43".
Called Microsoft support - they say "talk to the manufacturer"....

I'm experiencing the exact same problem with a superclocked version. The symptoms are identical to yours. As I'm typing this, I have already got a replacement card through RMA, unfortunately I'm also experiencing similar problem with the new card. My computer runs fine with my previous graphic card, Radeon hd 4890, so I don't know what else could be causing this. I'm heading to my friend's house soon to try the graphic card in a different system, in case it's not the graphic card's fault.
