Hi guys,
I'd like to get some input/advice on an issue I've been having with my GTX690. Lately, the games I've been playing with SLI have been crashing and leading my PC to reboot. I first noticed this in Far Cry 3, and now I'm definitely seeing it in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I'm not sure if my GTX690 has a problem or if something started going south in my PC, but it only happens when SLI is enabled.
Before I got my GTX690, I was running 3x SLI GTX 480s, so I have a Strider 1500w PSU. I don't think it's power related as a result, but who knows. I recall when I used to overclock my 480s for benchmarking that I could trigger the same behavior (system freeze + reboot) if I pushed my overclock too far. That's the thing that's weird here though -- the 690 is definitely not overclocked (same with CPU), and if my old setup was pushing 3x 480s you'd think it would be fine with a 690.
Other things that may be helpful:
Core i7 980x (stock clock)
Asus Rampage III Extreme
Areca 1880ix RAID card
24GB G.Skill Sniper RAM
(PS, my sig below is ancient, I haven't bothered overclocking the 980x again yet)
Any thoughts are appreciated. I just don't have as much time to mess with my PC anymore so I haven't done an awful lot to troubleshoot, but I have done the basics (checking power connections, tried swapping around power cables coming from PSU going to GPU, watching temps, etc.) BTW this is one of the GTX690 HCs so it's on water too.
