Hi there!
I'm in the mood for watercooling but I feel that I would need 4gb of Vram, and I'm just waiting for the GTX 680 Hydro Copper Classified to reach the stores. I've seen release dates saying that it would be out in May, June, July and now August is almost over. Is there any official release date that I've missed or do I just have to stay tuned?

I am also holding out for a Classified card with Hydro water block already attached. Any ideas when EVGA will take my money for it?

Only if we can guarantee 100% of the cards can pass, unfortunately we cannot but perhaps we can provide it and let you try. Most if not all cards should work.

EVGA_JacobF BIOS is still being finalized. May be next week or following. So EVGA will be selling a GTX 680 Classified with a pre-installed block? Will this also include the back plate? I'm eager to see what the base/boost speed will be. On my two GTX 680 DCII Tops I'm running 1300 MHz GPU boost on both (FurMark, 3DMark and gaming stable) all on air. ASIC quality is 100.0 and 99.1% for those who are wondering. Thanks.

The GTX 680 article says that it will have a backplate: " •EVGA Water Block ◦Swappable Inlet/Outlet◦Full Cover Block◦.25mm x .35mm pin matrix for optimal thermal transfer •8+8 Power Design•14 Phase PWM Design•OC BIOS Mode•EVGA Backplate" Source: http://www.evga.com/articles/00669/#GTX680HydroCopperInterestingly, it does not list an EVBot connector which the non-HC version does.

I am so glad I've waited then! So eager to get my hands on one! Not that I really need to upgrade from my 570 SLI but hey, it's not about what you need, it's what about you want! And the 680 is so freakin good for the cost, I would never ever recommend a 690 unless you have unlimited cash!

I tweeted with Jacob a little yesterday. The card's BIOS is ready, but they are sold out of the water blocks. He said it will probably be 2 weeks before they get them back. He said it is safe to assume that the cards will be released as soon as the blocks are in stock.

Wish they would release the bios for early adopters buying the water blocks, this "card may not meet the standards" statement tells us that their previous statement of "will not be binned or clocked any different than the air cooled classified card" is pure baloney.

Also, Which Bios is it, Normal, OC, LN2 or all 3 of them that are new?

My understanding is that it is for the OC setting which at the moment does nothing for the air cooled cards. Hopefully they will release this to current owners, though at the moment Matt H. has told me this will not be the case. Perhaps let the few brave users out there test it out?

I second the above. I believe Jacob mentioned they were planned for something but had to be thrown out at the last second (my speculation: Nvidia's regulatory guidelines on this 600 series). Maybe there will be some sort of use in the future.

Hi All.
Any idea when this card will be available in the UK? I've been waiting 4 months for this card as it's the last piece needed in my new build. Looking to get two for 5760 x 1080 gaming so I'm able to max out all games and have at least 60fps.
Many thanks.
Malachor.

Certainly possible, that is when we will get blocks in, now just need to assembly. BTW, clockspeeds will be: 1150/1215MHz

Will it be the same as the air cooled card + the price of the block? Or will there be a price discount due to the lack of material cost since no air cooler will be included?
