Hey there-

I've recently been having issues with my GTX 680 2GB Superclocked GPU. In every game I've tried once the card gets to 74°C green graphical glitches start showing up on the screen and after another degree or two the game I'm in will quit. No overclocks on the card. It doesn't even look like my framerate drops much once this happens. I am running three monitors (a Dell U2711 (DVI), a Dell 2407WFP(DVI) and a Cintiq 22HD (DVI to HDMI adaptor).

The max temp threshold for the 680 is 98°C, but I'm getting crashes at 76/77°C. The only workaround I've found is to adjust my fan curve in Precision X so that the fans are at 100% by 68°C. But I worry that will really hurt the life of the graphics card with the fans running at full tilt for so long.

Is my card broken? Could anyone shed some light on this issue?

Thanks!

The card should not have any problems at that temperature, if your card is under warranty I would recommend an RMA
