Greetings to all!  I am happy to help out a community in need of GTX 680 waterblocks.  Since there are numerous requests I would like to start with an initial batch of 20 blocks.  Of the 20 blocks they will be divided into sub batches of 4 blocks.  So the first batch will be 4 blocks, the second will be 4 etc.  Thats how many blocks I think I can make at a time. 
 
I am looking for the first 20 committed slots.  Since Deathstroke has been the voice of the 680's (as far as wrangling me in) and he wants 2 cards, he will get slots 1 & 2 of the first batch.  So if 9 more people want 2 blocks that is enough to get the project off the ground.  (going with his current list the first half of the batch is already spoken for)
 
Secondly.. you know I love you guys, but I have had some issues in the past by folks that say "yea im in!" then when the block has been ready to produce folks have already switched equipment.  Nothing wrong with changing hardware, but if you committed to me then stay the course.  In order to keep track of folks, and to see it through to the end, I will ask a simple $10.00 for each slot.  If you decide to leave its not a terrible loss to you (I am sure people spend more then $10 on lunch) with zero hard feelings.  If you stay the course your $10.00 will be taken off the costs.
 
Normally I accept payments in 2 sums.  I do this for a few reasons.  First, I ask for a raw materials deposit.  That allows me to purchase the materials for each block, mainly a slab of copper and a slab of delrin.  The deposit is just what I mentioned.  I go right to my supplier and buy the raw materials with your funds.  2nd, it means you and I take a leap of faith in each other.  You paid for some copper, and plastic.  Worst case scenario if you decide you don't want it anymore I can mail you exactly what you paid for, a solid block of pure copper and plastic.   Lastly, making custom blocks are not cheap.  I realize it is a bit of money to shell out at once, so breaking up the payments in 2 helps ease the pain.  If you brought a block design to a machinist he would charge hundreds - but thats after you pay the engineer to design it.    Trust me when I say, your getting the better end of the deal.  Now where was I....  oh yes, the costs.
 
I can't help the cost of copper, or the Delrin for it.  So the raw materials deposit will likely be (AT MOST) order of: $85 for the copper and $20 for the Delrin.  See what I mean about the costs?  Copper comes in already pre-cut sizes.  Realize what you are getting.  A solid block of copper, that has been extruded to fit your card.  Not a chunk of plastic with copper strips on the back.  You are getting a solid machined block of pure CU110 (99.9% pure) copper.  If I had to guess, the labor would be on order of $100.00.  So on average you  could be looking at around $200.00 per card. 
 
Now all that boring money talk is done, on with the card!

I will keep this design as simple as possible.  I will keep the standard SLI type format of the inlets above the card for those SLI junkies.  Going off that picture, everything boxed out in blue will be cooled.  (if I missed something the stock heatsink covers by all means let me know... im going off of a picture & experience).  The red circles will be the bolt holes (likely 4-40).
 
One more thing... TIME.  I do these in my spare time, and who has much of that these days?  I have 2 jobs, a wife, kids and a home.  For those of you in my shoes knows as well that time is a valuable commodity.  I can't really promise a completion date because this is a spare time thing.  I do not rely on these as income.  Its really just for fun, the joy of giving people what they want, and the profound sense of accomplishment of going "from conception to completion".

BTW that is not the classified card, But I am sure you know what you are doing, just please be sure to edit your post or others will be saying the same thing. There are water blocks for the ref. GTX 680 and even the FTW and 4gb models just none for the Classified's which is a much different PCB

This is great nateman. I'm sure most people will be wanting one of these for their rig.

So, who will lend out the donor board? I wish there was a way to "lease" broken hardware from EVGA directly for projects like this. 

once he he gets the card in hand, does measurements and whatnot, im sure he will have a solid price on it. around 180-200 was expected (at least by me). the hydrocopper block i have uses the same cu110 copper, but its a little odd as it is mostly a plastic like substance (im imagining delrin i guess) with copper plates on the bottom (as nate mentioned). it retailed for 180, so 200 for a full copper block with a delrin top is pretty sweet. i myself would love a full copper, but if there is to be delrin for the top, i could care less as long as i have a block for my cards :P lol. that and it would be a little less expensive XD, and easier to engrave.
 
nate have you tried contacting evga about dead boards to borrow? they probably dont have any since they no doubt have a warranty thing going for the chips themselves with nvidia. I am up for lending you my card. the card hasnt been used in forever, and has seen a whole 2 months use (lol, i know sad right, my desktop has been down for awhile, just havnt put it back together). ill send you a pm about it (I think i mentioned it in a pm already).
 
 

Ok i will take a solid $200 ish then. Just let us know when they will be ready, i mean i dont mind giving you what is necessary of couse that is if i get paid first before you ask.

heh, not quite.  I haven't tried to nickle plate yet.  plating is more like 0.000003" thick ;)

anything that you need? I mean like where do we give the $10 to reserve the block?

Welcome to the forums!  Just waiting for my machine to free up.  I have the cad done for the most part, but I have to finish some other blocks before this is up.
