I'm currently running 372.54 but starting with 340.52 I have to do a clean install of the driver and PhysX if there is a new version, if I don't do a clean install I get the error that the driver wouldn't install. I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. When driver 340 was installing windows update also wanted to install a new driver, after that windows asked for a restart and after the reboot the screen resolution was all wrong. I tried removing the driver in device manager but it would just re install after restarting. So after some reading I used DDU and waited for the next driver update and did a clean install and that is how I've had to do things ever since. Before that I never had a problem with just updating the driver or PhysX, I never installed the 3D drivers or HD sound drivers when I first installed windows. I just wanted to know if there was a solution to this since doing a clean install each time also resets the nvidia control panel back to the default settings I also noticed that debug mode is checked and greyed out in the control panel and I don't remember selecting debug mode at any point. It has just become really annoying over time. I have no problems with any of the games running or frame rate issues. Any help would be appreciated since I'm waiting for the price on the GTX 1070 to go down a little more before I upgrade.
