Hi,
I'm looking for a update bio for GTX 590 to support UEFI bio system. I already updated to the most current bio. But, my Rampage IV Black Edition Motherboard use UEFI bio format. It randomly fails to startup GTX 590 and I have to choke start the system to get it working.

Thanks, I'm going to replace a low budget card to GT 740 with 4G DDR5. There's a possible UEFI bios system tried to test GTX 590 memory compatibility and randomly fails to start up at cold boot. Graphic card could be too old to support new bios system. I tried setting it to legacy and still randomly fails to startup. I'll see what happen when new card arrive.

Unfortunately we do not have UEFI BIOS updates for 590s, as they are only available for the Kepler cards in the 600 series.

I understand. I was told to stay away from 600 series and go for 700 series. Are 700 series are Kepler cards and UEFI support ?

700 series ( I personally only tested with GTX 770s and GTX 780s ) supports UEFI out of the box.

Edit: Worth noting that I was running UEFI with a GTX 680

Thanks, I'm trying to stay away GTX cards if possible. They generates too much heat. I know, GTX 590 do get pretty hot. Anyway, GT 740 card is pretty nice and compact. Would be nice to see a compact GTX version ?

The most powerful compact card we offer right now is the 750ti.

The 590 is going to run hot because it's a dual-GPU card. A GTX760 or 770 will offer you comparable performance to the 590, and will run cooler due to the newer Kepler architecture and smaller die.

750ti only have 2G memory. Would like to see more than 4G ?
GTX760 and 770 are long cards. It's nice to know they don't generate too much heat. But, like to see powerful GPU in compact card.

Unfortunately, the 750ti doesn't come in a 4GB version. You would need to move up to the 760, or down to a 740 for a 4GB card.
