@Voidcuba The 560 Ti's a great card. After I RMA'd my first card, I seemed to have received a better card, that performs much cleaner, faster, and efficient. It gets pretty hot in San Diego too, and with A/C and a custom fan profile you'll be fine. When my ambient temps are about 30c, my GPU idles @ 32-34; and under load gets into the high 60's (using EVGA OC Scanner). When I'm using Folding@Home, temps seem too run even cooler @ 62-64c. My CPU, an Intel Core i5 2500k Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (Overclocked to 4.0GHz) idles @ 33-35, and gets into the mid 50's under load. Sometimes it will hit 60c when my case fans are running a little lower. Overall I'm quite happy with the EVGA 560 Ti SC. Great factory overclocks too, 900/1800/2106. I've tried overclocking the card and having easily hit 1000/2000/2200, as long as I keep the stock cooler running at 65-70%. I'll never keep the clocks that high, because the factory overclocks are plenty. I'm actually going to purchase a 2nd 560 Ti SC and run them in SLI. I'm putting all my old parts from my last computer (which still run great for being 5 years old) and I'll use it as my Folding@Home PC, and maybe store all my media files on there and share over my network for easy transfers.

As far as FPS goes, when playing RIFT on max settings - supersampling, it runs at about 55-60FPS. The Witcher 2, on max settings - ubersampling, it runs very smooooth. Simply put, it runs pretty much every game out right now smooth as butter, given you aren't running the game with a "uber-sampling" type setting enabled. When I turn on super-sampling in RIFT, I only get a 6-8FPS drop. Once I add another card, I'm hoping I'll be able to run TW2 maxed out + supersampling, and not see a noticeable drop in FPS.

Advanced replacement 560 Ti SC is on its way. The card i'm running now sits at 80-84 degrees at 75% fan speed. (without overclocking any pc part) I'll report back with the new numbers later this week.

Hopefully you'll get a better card. I had the same problem, and the new card they send me runs about 10-15c cooler than the other one.

i have the 560ti FPB so far it has been great. im going to add another one soon to bump up my folding. but i thought i would chime in on the CPU cooling issue you were talking about earlier. i had a corsair H60 in a seperate machine for a few months and was never quite satisfied with it's performance. so as an experiment i switched it out with the EVGA Superclocked CPU cooler and all i can say is WOW! .. what a difference. and for about half the price. I build about 6-7 systems a year for friends and family and i'll be suggesting the EVGA air cooler to all of them. the performance vs. price point is way too good to pass up. i'm in the process of replacing all my personal systems with them.

I'd like to know that info as well. i cheated. anytime i stress a new piece of hardware to that extreme i take it inside an ice cream freezer at work where the ambient temp is between 36-40 degrees below zero. i have to be careful though because there's a lot of humidity in there. when i did it at home on my desktop it pushed about 82c with the fan at max. but i don't really have a hot running one i guess. it usually sits about 32-34c at idle in my den. and rarely goes above about 60-66c when folding. i keep my den at about 65 degrees farenheit or 18c. i just did that as a test btw, i usually keep the card at stock settings (it's the FPB so that's 850core 1701shader 2052memory(4104)). sidenote: the 275.33 driver crapped out on me when i tried to push the core clock to 1000MHz. i think the card could handle it easy though for a test run.

Oh by the way i re-applied the thermal paste as was suggested to another user on page 1. And my card runs 2-3°C cooler than it did before. Its not amazing but now it should keep me at 80 degrees vs. 83 when doing intense gaming. So thanks for the pics of how and what it should look like scaryone =D .

Alright got my new card, i dropped about 5-6 degrees in all my games with all fan settings staying the same. I wish it was more but that still puts me into the comfort zone as opposed to "on the edge" with the high temps. RIFT runs at a solid 80 instead of 84-85 degrees. Not sure how you get batter temps, maybe the Antec Nine Hundred Two case sucks or something. Are all your fans on your case set to high?

Yeah I usually have my fans set pretty high while gaming. I have the NZXT Phantom case (look at my rig). It has pretty good air flow. I also noticed that the 560 ti gets better temps, at least in my case, when the side panel fan is set on exhaust. Although I have a H60 CPU cooler that intakes cold air from the back, so blowing air into the side kinda messes up the flow. Also, the 560 Ti blow the majority of the hot air into the case instead of out the back like it should. So I've found it does better when that hot air is being pulled away from the card instead of blowing back onto it. Hope that helps!

Hey, Everybody I've been reading this thread for a while, because I have very simliar setup to you Kostonn almost Identical. Antec 300 Illusion, i5-2500k, HC212+, 4gb Ripjaws, EVGA 560 ti Super clocked, 1 TB 7200rpm HD, ASROCK Z68 Extreme 4. I just have the 4 stock fans. My CPU idles at about 32C stock clock and no higher then 50C or 52C under load on prime 95 or playing games like crysis for hours maybe 45C, I haven't even raised it in my motherboard yet didn't find a reason too yet. I upgraded from a P4 2.4ghz single core POS w/ an old 9800 pro 256mb. It was good 9 years ago. So I am really pretty pleased with my whole upgrade. On to the point of GPU temps. My Card idles at about 32C to 34C depending on the day and maybe case fans on low to med. Under load I have never gone above 75C thats playing Crysis or running OC scanner for 2 hours. I still feel thats pretty hot, but after reading this thread for a while, and looking at others across the internet thats just normal for these 560 ti's and especially for the EVGA models they just run hotter but I love their service. Also, I have overclocked mine to 950, 1900, and 2150 as a seperate profile just to give boosts to crysis / warhead (which needs more power) 1 DX10 mode, under ultra settings the extra boost. Then I turn back once I quit cause the stock is fine for all other games. Just wanted to give you a reference, I would go back to Hyper Cooler 212 + I think its the shiiznt, and I am only using 1 fan on it. No need for that expensive water cooler if your not getting the performance others are somethings gotta be wrong, yours isn't much better than mine.

@Kill3rAce Yeah the cards definitely run hotter than most, but if you happened to buy it at Newegg or a Micro that would let you return it - I would try a different card. That's what I did and noticed a 10c temp drop with nothing else changing in my setup. Remember 2 things though: 1) Dual monitors raise temps ~ 10c, easily... 2) These cards have really crappy stock fans and they only blow a small % out of the back of the case. I've found that having your case side panel fan as an exhaust, will decrease GPU temps by 5c. This is because a lot of the hot air is expelled out towards the side panel and around the card, and having a fan just blowing that air right back onto the card may not be the best (for this particular card). So, if possible, switch the fan and see what difference it makes. It might screw the rest of your air flow up so you may have to play around with the setup. I say this because like you, the rest of my computer runs super cool, and a 5c temp increase anywhere else in my comp because of a different air flow wouldn't make a bit of a difference. I say just try it out and see what you find!

kostonn760 I received my RMA card yesterday. The sent the new card out the SAME DAY I had called them, and it came UPS the day after. Good work Newegg. The first GPU I got was secured in that recycled brown cardboard like material. So, right when I unboxed the new one, right away I noticed it was different. It came in the see through plastic casing that GPU's usually come in, and the box didn't see like it had been opened. Ambient temps in my room were about 28-30c I let the card idle to get a bit warmed up for a good 15 mins. I loaded up my fan profile that runs the fan 10% less than the current temp. (50%/60c; 60%/70c, etc..) Started EVGA OC Scanner (I waited for idle temps to drop 34c or less) Test 1: 98% load limit, w/Stress Test [120 sec] - 66c full load Test 2: 98% load limit, w/Stress Test [300 sec] - 72c full load So, the results ended up being about 10-20c cooler than my last card. I was very happy how the tests came out, and it was definitely saw a difference. I started up RIFT, at ultra settings, [1080p 1920x1080] = 69-72c under load. (w/ super sampling = 73-75c) The last card I had couldn't run RIFT under 80c at medium settings, and broke the 85-89c mark on ultra settings. I didn't even test super-sampling because it probably would have went over 90c TBH, I was hoping for 5c less on my temps because of my massive case airflow. Temps did rise 2-3c after playing RIFT for a few hours. All-in-all, I'm very happy with my new card; temps are within a reasonable area; AND I saw better FPS while gaming. I'm going to take my old card apart (before I send it back to Newegg) and practice re-applying the thermal grease. I ordered some MX-4 and will be putting that on my new card - maybe I'll get an extra 5 degrees lower while under load. I have a feeling my case airflow setup (As good as it is at pushing/pulling air through) isn't really helping the GPU as much as my CPU. My H60 is made to pull air into the case to cool the CPU, which kinda messes up the front-to-back airflow. Because I'm getting pretty low temps on my CPU, I might try putting the fan back to exhaust instead of intake. Because the CPU Rad is pulling cool air into the case, my side 200mm is being used as an exhaust to pull hot air out from the GPU; I actually got lower temps doing it this way. If I get my case flow back to the norm, and I'm able to push air onto my GPU without screwing the entire flow up, I think I'll get even lower GPU temps. BTW - USERS BEWARE - NZXT Phantom side panels are VERY poorly designed! you WILL NOT be able to set up a push/pull with a radiator connected to the rear fan because the 2nd rad fan will not allow you to close the side panel door (the fan is too far up the side of the panel, and won't clear the rear fans). Furthermore, using a CM Hyper 212 will also make contact with the side fan, and you won't be able to close the panel. I'm sure this will be the case with MANY other CPU coolers as well... So pretty much you have a choice between good CPU cooling, or a side panel fan. BAD DESIGN NZXT - TISK TISK TISK!!! Hey, after reading this post your getting the exact same temps I have gotten since I first received the card. Even after I overclocked it to 950 / 1900 / 2150 I saw 1 to 2 C raise....Crysis is the only game that truly pushes this card to 72 to 73C...Just cause 2 and BF2 rides under 70C and those are probably the 3 most gpu taxing games I play at the moment. So no reason to RMA it and wait for a new one...even though I do got a Z68 and can switch to Internal :)....Yeah I just might re-do the thermal paste in the future and see if I can even get a 2 to 3C drop at full load and maybe 5 or more if I am lucky....

Make sure you setup a good aggressive fan profile using Precision or MSI Afterburner as well. Just set it to automatically adjust and run on startup, minimized. Replacing the thermal paste is a good thing if you are having high temperatures even with good airflow and decent ambient temperatures. Check to make sure nothing at all is blocking your airflow. If you have the ability to put a side fan in I'd suggest that if possible.

So I actually broke down and returned my white case for the Black NZXT Phantom. It looks SO. MUCH. BETTER. So clean and professional. Such a beautiful case. Looks great with all my black gear (Monitors, keyboard, mouse, desk). My entire setup is black on black and looks amazing. The white was such a unique and pretty looking case, but it just stood out WAY too much sitting on my desk. I took everything out of the old one and transfered it to the black case. I actually did a small bit of modding as well. I decided that I'm going to take this side panel into my local window show and have them laser cut all the mesh out and replace it with Plexi. Now I'll be able to add the 2nd fan to my H60 for push/pull without the NZXT (horribly designed) side fan knocking into the RAD and being unable to close the panel. What I did for the modding was - I took out the 2nd HD cage in the middle of my case (because I don't use it). There were holes left behind on the bottom of the case for the mounts, but was 'rectangle', and the holes didn t line up to fit a 120mm. I re-drilled the holes to fit a fan, slapped a 120mm down there and now it brings cold air from under the case, and blows it up towards to top, RIGHT past the GPU(there's a good 1inch from the bottom of the case to my desk because it sits on high rubber feet). I was actually able to decrease temps by 5c with ONE fan. PLUS, I don't even have a side panel fan anymore; it's just 2 top 200mm, 1 rear 140mm (for the RAD), 1 front 140mm, and the 2 small 120mm HD cooler fans that blow across the case. I unplugged the one 120mm that points towards to modded fan so air just goes straight up. Just that small change made a WORLD of difference. I'll post pictures later today on what I did!

@robcalleg - See what I mean? The 560 Ti just seems to love a good exhaust fan instead. Just be careful your other components are running decent temps because of the changed air flow; you may need to make other adjustments.

From Newegg I just ordered my seconds dual channel G.Skill RAM (same kind I have now) And from FrozenCPU I ordered white single braid extension cables - 24Pin/8Pin/(2x)6Pin PCIe/4Pin Molex/(2x)Triple SATA I've been researching about water cooling and I'm seriously considering setting up a system in this build. It would be my first build with a full system (minus the CPU); so it would only be a single loop to the GPU and maybe my chipset (North/South bridge)

Yes I noticed the fan at the bottom there. Did you look to get an extension cable for the 8pin cable running to your CPU power connector up top on the left so you can hide it behind and run it to the top? Might as well get one of those extenders so you don't have that huge cable in front. Good job ithough!

Yeah I'm going to get the whole set of cables. I'm actually not going to get the SATA ones because my HD's hook up from the back so you can't even see the connectors anyway. I think once I put the braided cables in, it will look soooo clean. I REALLY want to go water cooling for my GPU - I absolutely hate the yellow stock cooler, and it just suck anyway haha. I like the look of a good water system. I don't want all the glowing UV hoses and all that. I'm not too sure though, because I haven't been able to find a chipset water block for my motherboard. I have no idea what block I would need for the ASRock Extreme4 P67 =[ A good thread of what I want my computer to look like would be this customer build from ColdZero : Of course mine would be black and blue instead of black and red.

Wow, admin disabled links on this thread - How lame! Here it is again; I put "*" instead of "." so just substitute the *'s for a period. www*evga*com/forums/tm*aspx?high=&m=1118108&mpage=2#1134310
