Just enter the Step up queue, and you will be fine. You can use the 980ti until you have to send it back. There is no telling how long the wait will be though. It's only guesstimate and assumption until you are at the end of the line.

So I can just enter the Queue now? and even if the 60 days is gone I will still get the 2?

Yes. Once in queue the 90 days doesn't matter. Just don't leave queue.

Yes.  All anyone has to do is meet the qualifying requirements.  If you rate it, then you'll get it.

You have about 30 days left to activate your step-up.

One advantage to waiting, in my opinion, is the remote possibility that a particular desired card which is not normally on the step-up list may appear (it has happened) and you could pounce on it for your step-up. I waited until I had about 3 days left to activate.

Once you have activated and selected which card you want, you're locked to that card (unless EVGA upgrades you), unless you have enough time left to drop out and re-enter the program.  Roll the dice.  Enjoy.

The ONLY downside I see to waiting, is once you enter the queue, you will be waiting that much longer. Just like Trile mentioned, you could hit a lucky streak, and get a unicorn card (best name I could think of) but you risk waiting much longer.

    Hello,

I would suggest entering the Step Up queue as soon as you can. If you are still in the queue after the 90 day step up deadline you will still receive the step up card(s).

I entered the queue almost a month ago and last time I checked I am still about a month and a half or two away from receiving my payment email to go pay for the new card (and choose).

So you should enter the queue asap if you are in a hurry or wait till a few days before your step up finishes.

If you enter the queue with say 60 days left, and 30 days in there's a different card (like a 1080ti) announced, can you leave the 1080 queue and get in the 1080ti queue, or are you locked in to once choice?

You can cancel your stepup and re-enter the queue for a different card (or even the same card, if you wanted) as long as you are within that 90 days window. Several people pulled out of the 1080 ACX queue and went to the 1080 FE one instead because it was moving a lot faster.

However, if you are still in the queue and the original 90 days lapses, your only choices are to stay or forget about stepup.

Yes, you can leave and reenter if you are still within the original 90 day window from purchase date.
