Hello, I have an EVGA GTX 1080 SC with the latest drivers and the new BIOS installed. I'm getting random flickers/artifacts in any application whether it be a YouTube video, website(use Google Chrome), games, or any other program.
The only time I have not seen it is during home screen or screen saver. This problem was present before driver and BIOS updates. The same problem occurs using an HDMI cable or Display Port cable. Tested multiple cables. The problem occurs whether the PC is hooked up to a 65" UHD TV or an LG Ultra Wide monitor. I've ran tons of benchmark and diagnostic tools and they all perform excellent. I've ran MEMTest86 and Memory diagnostics, sfc /scannow, dism test etc., all come back good. The flickering is random and only last for a fraction of a second, it's like a red-ish color flash and probably happens 4-6 times an hour.  Unfortunately I don't have another mobo to test the card and see if it's hardware related.
Anyone else experiencing something similar to this?

Nvidia reported flashing and flickering in drivers while utilizing high refresh rate monitors.. are you using a 144hz monitor by any chance?

*doh* read right past the 4k uhd and ultrawide comment somehow.

Would you be able to go back to an older driver and see if it all still occurs? Prior to 373.06?

It's been a thing since I bought the card. Only a month old. I didn't RMA it because I've read lots of GTX 1080 artifact issues and mine is so subtle I figured(hoped) it would be fixed with a driver or Windows 10 update.
But yes I'll revert to an older driver this evening when I get home.

    Thank you!

Here is what I would do...

#1 Set cpu/ram back to default clocks.
#2 Install this graphics driver. Do #2 listed here before installing the driver.
#3 Inside the nvidia control panel under manage 3d settings, global settings, set power management mode from optimal to adaptive. Reboot PC.
    #4 Retest.

Sajin, That looks like that may have fixed it. Time will tell. Do you not recommend I overclock my CPU?
    Leave XMP disabled?
I had the same issue running stock clock and XMP off when I first installed the card.
If that's the case I would call this card defective and RMA it.
    Thank you for your help!

Don't overclock things right now. Test for awhile before overclocking your cpu/ram again.
