Hello.

I got this card. http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=08G-P4-6181-KR

The max power taget is 120% and im allready hitting that on 1970Mhz.

Any one who can make a bios mod? for that card? or does the superclock version have higher Power taget? is the same PCB as this.

No one has cracked the BIOS on Pascal that I'm aware of.

    Have you upped the voltage?

    Yes, does not help.

Cause I hit 121% Power taget and it crash.

that is on 2000/2025 and + 600 on mem.

it can do +150 on core, and +670 on memory.

But only if I have the fan speed on 50%, do I have it on 60 or 100% it will crash cause of Power limit.

i'm really disappointed on this card. and hope my next one does not clock so bad as this.

Drop your memory clock and then work through core first.  Power to the memory is a draw on that limit.  The memory could also be your crash point.  Your card may be different, but most of the cards actually see a decrease in performance after the +400 or +500 range even though it will push higher with some sitting at around the +250 showing the last of gains.

So the fan power draw contributes to the power limit? I had no idea. Yet another advantage to going water cooled on these cards: no fan power draw! Still, those fans can't be drawing much power at all, as in fractions of a watt or maybe a couple watts. My overclocked 1080 will draw around 150 watts more fully loaded with Folding At Home than it does at idle, so it's hard to see fan power making much of a dent.

To the OP: my 1080 SC was running at 2025 MHz or so stably with +450 or so on the memory, and that's about as high as I could go. I could hit 2050 or whatever sometimes, but it wasn't rock solid. With water cooling 2139Mhz is now my stable OC, and 2152 is the point where it's stable enough to complete most benchmarks, but will inevitably crash at some point during a game, sometimes hours in, but still.

If you can hit 2025 with your card on air, with +600 on the memory, then I think you're doing just fine with that card.

I was referencing the draw from the memory, not the fans.

Custom vbioses won't be located on techpowerup.com. Best place to look for a custom vbios would be on overclock.net.

The only way to increase the power limit is by doing the shunt mod. Since your card has the ref PCB, it would work on your card as well!

I would be weary of mod'd your card's bios, you will void 3 yr warranty right away with a mod'd bios.

Your warranty will only be void if you send the card in to evga for repair with the modded vbios loaded. Reloading the original vbios before sending the card in for repair will keep you warranty from being voided.
