Today I received my GTX 1080 Hybrid Cooler and installed it onto my EVGA GTX 1080 FE. Installation went without a hitch took about 30 minutes to install even with the bad instructions, lol.
Anyway the cooler looks amazing and functions like it's suppose to, mostly (more on that in a sec) Card idles at 26/27c GTX 1080 +247+500 Core/mem Heaven bench GPU boost to 2152MHz GPU temp never over 42c no throttle. Fallout 4 @2k Ultra same but temp never over 39c after an hour of game play. Results go without saying are impressive!
Here's where the issue I'm having comes in, the wire with 3 pin fan header coming from pump/block does not work. I plugged in the included radiator fan no go, also used the 120mm Corsair fan also no go, does not spin either fan at all. Now when I plug the EVGA 120mm radiator fan into motherboard header works just fine.
I spoke with EVGA Tech support about this already and their solution was to RMA :( looking for an answer here for a possible fix or if anyone else has had similar issue or did I miss something...
Pump and blower fan are working LED is working temps are great and overclocking boost is great!
I'm not sure on how to use the multi-meter that I have, a cheap Radioshack unit but tried and reading is .05v coming from the pump fan header (I think)!?!@#
