Hey guys

I am a semi-newb still. I had no idea about the Master/Slave stuff, though I did see the switch on the card.

I haven't OC'd my 1070 FTW yet, but would just raising the power limit to 112% net me more fps? Without playing with the GPU and MEM clocks?

Likewise, if I were to switch over to the Slave Bios, and raise the power limit to 122%, would this also net me (even more) FPS in games without touching the GPU and MEM clocks?

Or is the whole Power Limit thing just used strictly for OC'ing? Also if I were to switch over, would I have to set Precision to defaults, and uninstall before doing this?

Thanks in advance

(P.S: If I were to switch over to slave, and raise the GPU and MEM clock speeds .. what is a good, first time number for each i should use to test out if it's stable and all that? I'm on the AXC cooler by the way, not water cooled)

(P.S.S: I'm on Micron Memory)

Increasing the power limit could allow your card to net more fps if the card is being power limited.
