Any idea when or if this model will be made. When it might be available and for how much do we think its going to be. And will they have 4g models like the 960s?

I think estimates are for August?
Who knows how general availability will be though. If it's like the 1080 and 1070 may be tough to find one before October.

Consider what is currently happening. By the time the dust settles on the high demands for the 1080 and 1070. I would expect holiday season for 1060s.

There are hints that they will release a GTX 1060 this year and that will have 6gb of GDDR5 ram to keep up with the newer cards.

1060SLI sounds like a really nice setup actually. Nothing compared to 960SLI.

No 1060 will come with 6GB VRAM.
GTX 1050 will be pcie based only, and have 4 GB of VRAM.
I'm in two minds - get a RX 480 at launch, or wait for a GTX 1060....

Very thrown off by your statement in bold text. Are you saying it as "NO...the 1060 will come with 6gb of VRAM." OR are you saying it as "NO 1060 will come with 6GB of VRAM." ??? Please advise.

My 960's handle everything I throw at them. I don't have anything higher than a 1080p monitor anyway.
Same here, but I'll be looking at 4K monitors not until early next year. The 1060s look like they'll be perfect for 1080P, especially with 2. I'm considering unless other people have objections.

It makes sense that nvidia would release them sooner rather than later, now that radeon 480s are out. Don't want to complete secede the low end market to your adversary.

speaking of 1060 launch, i assume we will find out which EVGA models of the 1060 will be available for purchase on launch when they announce the card on the 7th?
i am really surprised that the 1060 supposedly outperforms the 480 in nearly every category. i was thinking of getting a second 1070 but after that news i would love to get this cheap GPU in my second rig.

Given that the 480 draws more power than it's supposed to, that may wind up being true. They are both going to be in t he same target market.

Probably on July 19th. Embargo on reviews until tjen. Usually means no product on EVGA site until day of. Unless special like preorders on 1080FTWs.
