I was expecting more along the lines of six months, but I'll take it earlier if it's done.

It only makes sense. PS4/XB1 releasing at the end of November. When the game is ready for those consoles, the game is pretty much already ready for PC. Easy port.

Yea thanks to the cell chip on the PS3, GTA4 took way longer then it should have to be converted to PC. but like said above, if GTA V is ported from PS4, Xbox One consoles which release around november / december this year, it will release to pc much faster.

well i dont see why it wont be playable since the main development system is PC and the fact if it is or ends up being realsed on the PS4 for that matter the PS4 is 100% X86 based like PCs only it is a highly fine tuned performance beast

I'm maybe 1/2 way through the Xbox 360 version. I might hold off until the PC release before finishing it. Depends on how close the release is.

I don't mind waiting to be honest, grand theft auto 4 looked bad until the modding community made it much better, so i think i'll wait for the modding community to improve the game and of course wait for the official patches to improve the game, GTA4 was really rubbish but the mods made the game for me personally. Unless rockstar has massively improved the game engine, colours and lighting in GTA5 on pc?.

fletchjJust have to wait for a sale. I got GTA IV three years ago for $7. Yeah i didn't buy gta4 on pc until 1 or 2 years later and when i did buy the game it came with two expansion packs (which were crap imho) but the driving and general sight seeing helped with the boredom, lol. And it all only cost me twelve quid (well, slightly over priced at £12). Edited for clarity, excuse me if i offended anyone there.

I bought GTA: IV as soon as it came out and really enjoyed it (vanilla style). Previously, I played a lot of MTA: SA and little of SAMP but I grew out of it. IV was a great change. And, V looks amazing. I can't wait.

One of the few games I would actually pay full price for. Very few games meet that standard of playtime. Skyrim being one of them as well as borderlands 1 & 2.

Bkatt Skyrim. I can't make my mind over with this game, i keep seeing the pc version and keep wondering if i should buy or not?. Maybe i have just answered my own question?, sorry for the slight deviation from GTA 5 discussion, but yeah will be interesting to see what the pc version game engine of GTA 5 will look like and how the driving physics are etc, but quite interested if there are any mod tools to boot too?.

I go back and forth on this game soooo much. one of my brothers has a ps3 and got the game on release day,so I checked it out a day or two later once he figured out what was going on and how to play and it looked pretty good. theres some stuff I don't like about it like being multiple chars or however that's setup but the thing that works my nerve is should I give them money after the way they've jerked the pc guys around with this game. I def don't want another gta4 fiasco and I really don't want to contribute money to that type of game which will just tell them its ok to do that crap and shaft PC every installment. sigh......

I have tried to watch some let's play videos of this game and due to it's content and lack of coherent storyline I know this is one game to avoid if it ever releases on pc. I will say though hopefully Rockstar has learned from their past mistakes when it comes to porting console games to the pc.
