I noticed the issue immediately after installing the Windows anniversary edition update. The first problem was that I couldn't use in game settings to cap my FPS in any of my games. Usually when that happens it is because the setting is set to windowed mode and I have to change it to full screen to make the FPS cap option work. 

Currently the only way I can cap FPS is by using Vsync. Even with VSYNC on I am now getting tearing due to GSYNC not working for some unknown reason. I changed the option in the NVCP to make GSYNC work in full screen and window mode but nothing has changed. 

I did a fresh install of Windows to make sure the issue wasn't on my end. I'm not sure what to do as I can't revert back my windows updates at this point. Any suggestions? Should I create a ticket with Microsoft? I'm not sure if this would be the correct forum to post this.  I posted in the Nvidia forums as well but these forums have always been more helpful for me.
 
I am assuming GSYNC being disabled is my problem as I am now dealing with screen tearing as well and have lost the silky smooth game play I was previously experiencing.

I've done this and reinstalled windows.  I installed nothing but windows and its updates, the GPU driver, and two games and this issue is present.  I've done a couple over the year and have never had this issue.  Usually everything works no prob.

Also why the hate against Geforce experience?  It sucks when it comes to selecting game settings but shadow play is awesome.   I've yet to come across a game capture program as good as this.  Granted I have not been looking very hard.

Geforce will put your system under full load for no reason at all. Shadow play is the only good thing to come out of GFE

GFE will also cause failures, and mess with overclocks. Shadowplay isn't worth the extra added bloat ware.

OC GPU software removed before DDU was run ?
 
Nvidia  PhysX installed ?
 
Did you disable the  Win 10 Anv ---- Xbox DVR record always on -- issue ?

Do you have multiple sound drivers installed ?


Choose one - MB or Sound card or Nvidia (check device manager)

Well...at least my EKWB blocks arrive tomorrow.  Only took 2 days to get to Buffalo, NY. :D

I spent all night trying to figure this out.  I feel slightly embarrassed for not trying this out sooner.  I'm still kinda shocked that the driver worked before but not after the Win AU and that the driver that was released before Win AU works fine.

I would not be shocked that you would have to reload driver 372.53 after ANY Windows OS update -- they do not load the full driver set, just what MS thinks you need.
 
When I refreshed my Win 10 Pro Ver 1511, OS Build 10586.545 --- the version before Anv Update I got this error

Got to reinstall the Nvidia drivers.  Windows 10 update installed 369.09 drivers which apparently were missing OpenCL.  It also enables Xbox Game DVR as well which should be disabled in the Xbox app as well.  Keep up the good work.
