It was just something to shoot for in the beginning,I'm sure a lot of people will continue until the end of the promotion period.

I'm happy to keep going until the 15th (I'll phrase it as "midnight February 14th") if you guys are up for it. Should be fun to see how high we can get him by then. You guys continue to be awesome

I have an idea, we could ask EVGA to test some Fermi-cards for them ...

The next official EVGA Folding promotion begins (you know the one where you can earn $100 EVGA Bucks if you reach a million points, or whatever they may set the bar to this year). Shane said it was ok either way but just trying not to step on any toes.

Thanks for the help, you always have sweet hardware

I'm taking your word for it and updated the OP again. Was this confirmed by anybody though?

Also noticed a BR, don't want to sound cheesy so just thank you to whoever put it there. I personally think a lot of people in this thread should get one, everybody is playing a part in making this small idea into a much more meaningful thing.

Well, it's clear from here: http://www.evga.com/folding/promo.asp that the current folding year is 02/16/09 - 02/15/10. Isn't it?

That's a cool promotion eVGA is doing.

BTW, I am getting about 10-12 units complete per day on my measly 8800Ultra for AB. I am not sure how that is, but to me, every unit I complete in his behave is worth it!!!
 Maybe i will spring for a GTX295 CO-OP. :)

That's great for that setup. That shader overclock is probably helping a lot. 295s are beasts too but you've got nothing too shabby right now

Re:GPU Folding Question 2010/02/02 19:49:09 (permalink)
I have no clue what you are talking about. Sorry.
I jsut looked at the log and it is telling me how many i have done for the day. Looking at the nvidia graphic thing it says it is doing over 500 ns/day...whatever that means.

honestly, i am a no0b to folding. I use to fold on a SMP set up but when I dumped that one I stopped. I am only folding b/c Slayers PM about this for AB.

I basically got an 8800Ultra running at 648 core/ 1728 shader/ 1100 mem at 64 C constant. Real temp shows my GPU load at 30-40%

Oh don't use that graphical viewer, it kills your PPD (points per day). Use HFM.net to monitor your PPD and other statistics: http://code.google.com/p/hfm-net/

Nice shader clock, btw! ;)

I'm running a 9800GTX+ SC at 570/1905/845 and it seems to be rock solid at 65C.  The only bad part is I can't go 24/7, my parents would kill me even if they knew why.

Yep. I launch it and its just a gray box. Sorry, maybe I need to read up more on this stuff. Anywho, I just finished the 10th protein for the day. I read the log so that is good to know its actually doing stuff.

Not to mention the BSOD it will give you.

F@Hmon and F@Hspy are great for ppd monitoring.

clo007; With those clocks you should expect b/w 4500-5500ppd. Make sure you have the CPU usage slider at 100%, it should really say GPU not CPU. The 1888pt WU runs all over b/w 20% and 80% GPU usage.

That's because it's going by his 24hr average. Which is 92,772 points. However, we're making over 200,000 points a day now. More than double his current 24hr average!
