I'll list what I can think of and put examples in brackets.

Basic details about your rig: CPU (i7 980X @ 4.2GHz), GPU (680 @ 1006/2012/6008) , OS (Win 7 Pro 64)

Basics about FAH: FAH version (V7.2.9), flags (max-packet-size=big, client-type=beta), core version (core15 v2.22), what all are you running (SMP 10, 2xGPU)

The log file of at least one of the 8057 units (can edit out personal info). Or, if you have it, info like was posted in the linked thread (see below). I believe he got it from HFM.
 Project ID: 8057
Core: OPENMMGPU
Credit: 2549
Frames: 100

Name: Hayes-P5Kpro-Q9450-X32--V7 Slot 00
Number of Frames Observed: 141
Min. Time / Frame : 00:03:07 - 69,328 PPD
Avg. Time / Frame : 00:03:07 - 69,328 PPD
Cur. Time / Frame : 00:03:08 - 68,329 PPD
R3F. Time / Frame : 00:03:07 - 68,801 PPD
All Time / Frame : 00:03:07 - 68,801 PPD
Eff. Time / Frame : 00:03:14 - 65,609 PPD

I am once again lost in all this. I have F@H v7 installed on my folding rigs. I have not gotten any of the newer work units, only the 8018 ones for 5757 points. It does no bonus calculation, though I have the client-type beta flags set. Are these exclusive to the 600 series cards? I have 2x GTX 560's, a 450, a 9800GT, and a Radeon 6950, none of which are getting these newer units. Do I need to upgrade to the latest beta version of the FAH v7 software as well?

These units seem to be har to come by for many folders. This beta test is for P8057 on Windows nVidia GPUs, so you should be able to get them for the first 4 cards if you you are lucky on the draw. As far as the v7 status, I don't think it matter swhich version you are running, but the lastest v7.2.9 has been released to full public use.

Thanks for the quick reply. After installing the new version is there any way to resume the projects I was working on before I installed the new one? Would hate to miss out on those ~20k points :P

Oops, never mind. I got it :P

I just remoted into home and found my 2 vanilla 680s at stock, are busy with the new QRB units.

Run right at 3 hours.  TPF of 1:49-1:52 for 19200-19600 points.  Pretty nice.

You are either missing a zero on those numbers or you are not working the 8057 WU. It has been shown that you should be getting over 100k ppd on a 680 with the QRB system. are you sure they are the 8057 WU?

Those numbers are per 8057 work unit.  PPD is around 154K per 680.

Update: Continous from about November 1st I was receiving only 8057 work units nonstop .Today I came home to check on things and its showing folding a couple of 8018 work units 8-(

Is there any news if or how long these 8057 work units will be out there for testing or are there going to be other tests for the QRB work units ??

I guess I was lucky enough to be spoiled for awhile LOL
I'll update if theres any change ..

Hopefully this won't take that long before they switch things back on with the QRB

I every time I read about someone getting these new GPU QRB rewards.  I hope they leave the new points structure for these beta GPU WUs just as they have been.  People that have invested heavily in GPUs and 1P rigs are due some "point love" for all that they do!

I do not think there were any problems on my end, but a Mod will have to verify the duplicates were returned OK. Below are the duplicate p8057 in my HFM history.

triples: (R0,C78,G1)(R0,C12,G16)(R0,C29,G5)(R0,C78,G1)

doubles: (R0,C1,G16)(R0,C2,G17)(R0,C16,G25)(R0,C18,G11)(R0,C25,G12)(R0,C33,G1)(R0,C39,G9)
(R0,C4,G3)(R0,C55,G3)(R0,C59,G1)(R0,C61,G2)(R0,C65,G1)(R0,C83,G0)

I have been following the trend for many day's just looking at the reported WU's on this and other forums, it appears they are testing these for matched results the same WU's are being run over and over, It also appears that PG wants them run on the same machines, not randomly once a person gets 1 they will continue to get them over and over while others do not get any.

So as far as these being a totally random beta test of a ready to release WU it appears to be more of a results verification or something along those lines, So if you happen to be one of the randomly chosen few, you will get them for a while, the rest just have to sit around and watch.

Hurry up and process all those Beta 8057's XZ, so the rest of us can start working 'em some day!!

You mentioned the situation of once you start getting them they seem to keep coming.  I've often felt that way about the 8102 Bigadvs too.  I have no proof, but it seems that once I do get one, they just keep coming while other Folders can go for very long time periods with not getting even one 8102.  I'm currently in a stretch of not getting any 8102s.    I've often wondered if PG had some way to manipulate these things, but don't know how it could be done.

I'm sure they have something built into the server logic where they can change a setting to ensure particular units go a certain place if they are doing testing like they are now.

The behaviour that was talked about at FF and copied here by XZ is actually sending the exact same unit, not just another unit within the same project, to check to see if the same results are reported by the same machine on the same unit.

Well if they would like they can use my GTX480's as ginny pigs, I'll be more than glad to report the results here.
I'll even leave them on 24/7 for this.

Edit: BTW do people with v6 even get these for testing?
I haven't seen any reports of anyone using v6 console getting these.

I have V7.2.5.9 on a ATI/AMD 5850 but these flags don't seem to work for it, plus V7 seems
the only client I can use that works & gets work for the 5850.
I've test pretty much all the console version with it & no luck getting work for the 5850 with those.

The reason I was asking for information is because the beta team has not seen any results on their Kepler cards yet. So any Kepler (600 series) information may be of use to them. I haven't seen any restrictions of these only being on v7, but yeah I can't think of anywhere that I noticed someone say they were on v6 and got them either. There is a restirction at the moment on the manufacturer of cards; only NVIDIA cards are getting the beta units right now.

http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=22808&start=45#p227981

again the issue is beta config -with tracker  it's betateam

Thanks, I wonder if this "-gpu 0 -verbosity 9 -betateam" was added to the command line/shortcut or
in the config setup dearing the setup of folding as extra parameters? Or would that make any difference?

Re:GPU points/QRB discussion 2012/11/08 11:30:09 (permalink)
I have added a link to my bonus calculator called Load QRB GPU projects that will return only active GPU projects of type OPENMMGPU and with kfactor > 0. Project 8057 shows up in the list by default but this way it is a bit easier to find the QRB enabled GPU projects especially as new ones are added down the road.
