I have tried for at least two weeks to pickup the 8057 work units but up until last night I was unsuccessful. Finally, some of these work units started to come through. This is with two 580s @ 850 MHz and one 680 @ 1306 MHz.

The 680 is only running 5-seconds slower TPF compared to the 580s but in the case of the QRB, every second counts. 631K PPD is not too bad for three cards. :)

I'm getting 8057s intermittently with the majority of the WUs being the 762Xs (which are such a PPD drag ).  6K PPD just doesn't cut it for a GTX570 running 20hrs just to finish one of these things.  I'm loaded up with 762xs today already, but will keep crankin' them out and hoping they either get QRB'd or just plain go away.

Glad that some of you are seeing lots of nonstop 8057 goodness and am enjoying reading about your new found production highs too.  That warms my heart and makes tolerating these 762xs a bit easier when I see the team with some new found enthusiasm.

Get V7 going Patches...today!  I can't explain it either, but it does seem to be the client to run for the 8057s these days.

I'm still using the latest Systray V6 client and getting 8057 WUs on my Fermi cards (I don't have Kepler cards yet), but I'm not familiar with Tracker, so I think it's best to switch to the V7 client.

My GT 440 has been chugging along with the 8057s for a few days.   I'm waiting to see the newer WUs.   So far it hasn't touched the 76xxs.   I'm liking the 22k ppd on the, what I payed, $40 card.

It's seeming to be stable even with the Dnet OGR client taking all 4 of the Phenom 2 x4 920's cores.

Do you have the client-type/beta tag and next-unit-percentage/100 tag added?

I also have the gpu/true tag in the Extra client options. I can't remember if everyone have that or is it something I added.

Re:GPU points/QRB discussion 2012/12/02 18:12:55 (permalink)
a useful flag to add is

pause-on-start
true

This will stop V7 from starting to fold as soon as you open the program.
Useful if you have multiple slots but don't want to fold on all of them at the same time.
all you need to do then is right-click on the slot and select 'Fold'.

So, where ya at with the setup?  Were you able to add the suggested options to your GPU Slot(s) as shared above, or are you still having trouble getting that part set?  Let us know where you are stuck so we can help ya!

If you watch the video that Sleinous made (in his linked post), look at the part that is roughly 30 seconds into the video.  He shows you, step by step, how to set the "next-unit-percentage" setting in V7 for the GPU slot.  You may have to pause the video a few times to do each step that he illustrates, but it's about the best way to see how to do it.  I'm not aware of any preset V7 configuration that can be downloaded, but if you follow the steps in the video, it can be done in just a matter of minutes to your V7 installation.  Don't feel bad about this stuff not being "second nature".  You just started playing with V7 and it takes awhile to get familiar with it.
