Just saw that when I got home. Checked my email and thought merry Christmas, I may buy two 560Ti 448 Classified's for my son. Good fan setup for cooling and better than he has and I get two GTS 450's back from him. Like you said 149.99 after rebate is a good deal. OOPS, I think I just posted to the wrong place. Sorry.

I'm just wondering if anyone ran a GT 640 with the 8057 WUs, and what it gets in PPD? I want to see how much better it folds, assuming it folds better anyway (mainly the QRBs, I seen the Anandtech review many months ago with its folding graph that was well before QRB betas). MY GT 440 gets: with 2.25: "9039 points/15,195 ppd 8min TPF roughly 14 hours to complete." with 2.22: "10,145 points / 21804 ppd with a TPF 6min+-."

Yeah I picked up a few. Ppd is roughly 25k or about 4.5-5x normal ppd.

(about 0.5 threads out of 12 on the 3930K) Drivers might also have an impact, but I haven't seen that personally. I am using 310.61. If you are running SMP folding at the same time it might be beneficial to leave at least one core free and to use something like WinAFC to set affinity. Personally I am using SMP 10 with affinity set for CPU0-CPU9, and the GPU set to use CPU10. This seems to give better PPD than letting windows constantly move them around. SMP 10 instead of SMP 12 also makes the system much more responsive while folding, (at least for me) and the PPD drop from using the system is less.

yep doing all that and always allow a core per GPU and use lasso using whatever the latest Beta Nvidia is Not concerned that much being beta at the moment Fermi rocks and Keplar is sucking hind tit optimization will be interesting

jedi95 Not bad at all 190k PPD on a 680. My 480 only gets 135k PPD. Did you some how get 2.22 to work with the 680?
