Just an FYI to my fellow folders... I am switching back over to Prime... Having to manage the V7 so much just to keep getting the QRB stuff is not working out for me. I like to set and forget. Not look after it. All I am getting is 70XX's now and a few 8054's & 8018's for the last 4+ days. Not that they should not be done of course. But at least with Prime my Keplers are getting worked fully. Now if I still had any Fermi's that would be different. I would plug along. However I no longer own any Fermi's...

So keep up the good fight! I will return once my systems specs are met with a fully utilized core...

AB, what are you having to keep checking? With the Kepler cards it pretty much is set it forget with V7 after you add the "client-type"/"beta" flag.

The 8057's are a little more spaced out now because so many people have been pulling them, but I'm still getting them here and there and I haven't touched my V7 since I made the switch last week.

Fermi users have to check and make sure they keep the 2.22 core as opposed to the 2.25 core as you get much higher PPD with 2.22.

My computer finds cures for diseases and searches for aliens when I'm not gaming...what does yours do?

+1 to what kody said, and I also add
"next-unit-percentage" / "100" under the "name" and "value" headings, respectively..

You won't get all 8057's but you should be getting some if you're configured right.

Yeah,I'm with Kody, I haven't touched my v7. I've even left the 2.25 core on the one rig that always switched back.
But I do understand switching to help out other causes. If I can get a few. Ore cards into my 875k rig I'm going to stop the smp and switch it back to crunching.

As far as I can tell, Fermi users don't have to keep checking if 2.25 gets downloaded. I've run a few 76xx wus, and the beta folder never gets touched.

I have noticed the same thing, it only changes the one in the Core_15.fah folder. The beta folder is untouched.

GT 440@stock with 8057 gets 9039 points/15,195 ppd  8min TPF  roughly 14 hours to complete.

I stopped running the GT 440 a while back due to it constantly failing WU's.   At first it was ok, but after the 8081s came.. seemed it never could handle WU's anymore.  Maybe now it will?  Anyway at least it's ppd with QRB with be 15,000, instead of the 3000/4000 it was doing.

Did you downgrade the core to 2.22? If not do so the PPD will be even better.

question guys

I know the v7 client shows the correct ppd for project 8057, but is thier way to fix the 8057 project from showing up as 0 PPD in HFM.net? normally I just have to update the project list under tools > download projects from stanford, but that isn't working for this unit

On HFM  -> edit  - >preferences  -> web settings

On project download url ADD a "C" to the end of the word "summary"
and click ok at bottom.  Go back to tools and and redownload.

Other than that, I know squat about v7.

These projects don't show up on the regular psummary list but on the psummaryC list (incl. advance and beta projects).
So if you direct HFM (Edit -> Preferences -> Web Settings - Project Download URL) to that list they will show up.

Are the 70xx wus the ones that fail if your SMP is set to an odd number of cores?

GT 440@stock with 8057 gets 9039 points/15,195 ppd  8min TPF  roughly 14 hours to complete.

I stopped running the GT 440 a while back due to it constantly failing WU's.   At first it was ok, but after the 8081s came.. seemed it never could handle WU's anymore.  Maybe now it will?  Anyway at least it's ppd with QRB with be 15,000, instead of the 3000/4000 it was doing.

Did you downgrade the core to 2.22? If not do so the PPD will be even better.

Thanks Wolf.   Just changed the core to 2.22 since I wasn't sure if I had it or not..

Update:

GT 440 *Zotac 1GB ddr3 @ 810* with FahCore 2.22:   WU 8057 gets 10,145 points / 21804 ppd with a TPF 6min+-

Definitely a nice little bump.  I'll keep that 2.22 core on the desktop for easy changing.

On HFM  -> edit  - >preferences  -> web settings

On project download url ADD a "C" to the end of the word "summary"
and click ok at bottom.  Go back to tools and and redownload.

Other than that, I know squat about v7.

I would think that needs to be added to the FYI/Help sections...very good info

You may have to install an older driver, I had same problem on a GTX9800 for it not to fail

The GT 440 works fine in the  ASUS  M3A78 with the 306 driver, at least so far.   It just finished the last 8057, and now its on another 8057 for another 10 hours.   I'd have to see if it runs a 76xx or a hot 8018 without failing though.

It instantly failed all the WU's on the DFI Lanparty x58.  That was with beta, advanced, and normal WUs.    I tried different drivers, 266, 285, and latest 306.   The DFI Lanparty X58 board is what seems to be the issue.  It just can't power the card I guess.    The GTX 285, I regret selling, worked great in the board, but only with the 191.07 drivers.  Otherwise.. constant driver crashes, etc in Win 7.

Newegg has the 560Ti 448-core board for $180 minus $30 "rebate card".

Sounds like a pretty good deal for Fermi folding; anyone see other good offers for folders?

bstock has a GTX 480 for $169, they should do about the same PPD as a GTX 570 which is around 130K

its a high power usage card though, 300w I think
