Sleinous bigster I Dont run SMP, i always used the tracker but i swiched to the V7 to get a few 8057 I followed the guide on overclockers.com step by step and i do get them just not the bonus points.
If you've never done SMP before then your passkey is probably not 'primed' yet, so keep folding those 8047 and soon you'll start getting bonus. Someone remind me how many WUs before you start getting bonus? 10 is it? Yes it is 10 =] Also note!!!! If you copied and pasted your Passkey.... Please make sure there is no extra "Blank" spaces in front of or behind that long number. This has caused us issues...

is the version 7 client required for QRB or can I just add a passkey to my v6 console clients for the GPU's? I'm new to all this QRB stuff.

I already have the passkey set I'm using the same one for my SMP folding since its already primed. I'm on 6.41 console client as well.

When I got back from Montana on the 12th, I started reading about the QRB's, After about an hour I started setting up my console clients (6.41) on my 3 fermi cards. A little while later I had them picking them up. Have been running ever since.

Xavier Zepherious considering QRB benchmark based on 460 260 won't do much v7 will run both with a lot of work (manual setup) not for faint of heart - there are a few running both if you have to chose between running both with 20k+10K (no QRB) or 1 for 140K (QRB) ...what do you chose? I'm hoping to keep the 260 folding using the tracker and use the v7 to pick up more points with these new WU's. My main gripe with the v7 client was the whole index settings (GPU, opencl, and cuda). I can never seem to get these set right on the first try which usually results in a bunch of botched WU's. **EDIT** It took a ton of finagling (I really despise the v7 client) but I managed to get the 680 folding on the v7 client and the gtx260 and corei7 folding on the tracker. Had to find the right combination of the 3 things I mentioned above which took a bit of trial and error (wish there was a quick way to get the correct values first time around). v7 client is showing 161k PPD for a 8057 WU, with an additional 20k+ comming from the i7/gtx260.

I already have the passkey set I'm using the same one for my SMP folding since its already primed. I'm on 6.41 console client as well. Nite, the flag that I had to use in the Console Client (that forced something) was only for a Kepler GPU. If you are trying to use the Console client (use ver 6.41r2 by the way) with a Kepler, then there are (2) flags that need to be used. Without the quotes, one flag is "-betateam" and the other flag is "-forcegpu nvidia_fermi". You may also need to use the "-gpu x" flag where "x" is the GPU # if you are running multiple GPUs. I will tell you that while these flags, especially the "-forcegpu nvidia_fermi" flag will allow a Kepler to Fold using the Console client, I was not successful in getting any of these 8057 beta GPU WUs. But for that matter, neither was I successful getting any of those beta units with my Kepler running under V7 using the required "beta" flag. Keplers require that you use either the "beta" flag in the V7 client or the "-betateam flag" with the Console client. But I never snagged any "beta" units with either client on my Kepler GPU...always got 8018s. If, on the other hand, you are Folding with a Fermi GPU, then I'd use V7 if you want to capture some of those beta 8057 WUs. You can go after them with the Console client too (using the -betateam flag), I just see more people claiming they are getting them with V7. That could be because more people use V7 vs the Console too. If you go after them using the Console client with a Fermi GPU, then you don't need that other flag that has to do with "forcegpu fermi". That flag was just to fool the Console client into Folding on a Kepler GPU. Here's a couple of nice guides to setting up V7 to specifically go after the beta GPU WU. http://www.overclock.net/...ding-beta-project-8057 http://hardforum.com//showthread.php?t=1727789 Hope you go fishing for them, they are worth the effort!

Yea I was just talking to Jflankford in steam chat and he pretty much said the same thing texinga. I will get it worked out eventually Jflankford said he used version 6.41 console and only used the -betateam flag as well and QRB was working for him, but he is also running kepler cards, I'm not sure if fermi + v6 will work with QRB ot not. If it doesn't after a while I will switch to v7

If it doesn't after a while I will switch to v7 Fermi and V6 will work, you just need to use the -betateam flag which is only required for the Console client (V7 uses the "beta" flag). I have read of people that did snag the 8057 WU with QRB using the V6 Console and Fermi. It is also recommended to use the latest version of V6 (6.41r2) and that is what I've been using as well. Don't be discouraged if you don't see an 8057 QRB WU right away, but they are still out there. If you decide you want to stay with the Console client for now, just give it some time and if no beta WUs arrive, then invest in getting setup with V7. Personally, and this is entirely superstitious, I'd go straight to V7 now and start trying to snag some of these tasty WUs.

I ran the -betateam flag for weeks on my 2xGTX480's and never got a 8057 until I went to v7. This may have changed now since there seems to be more 8057's available to snag. I haven't revisited v6 to see if things have changed.

My stock shader is 1408, I don't normally OC my vcards when folding, just benching. I just wanted to see it below 2:01 TPF for a few extra PPD. Edit:1401 not 1408... 701/924/1401 <=stock

the work in question is a test unit so may in fact work the card less it's only to test benchmarking for QRB - no science done whereas the other units actually help find cures
