Her's my last comparison on these wu's. I'm finally folding one on each of my 6 cards.

560ti, 3x 460, GTS 450, and GT 640.
Avg ppd non 8057 is approx 74-75k.
Avg ppd 8057 is approx 378k

Makes me want to go get a few 6xx series cards and I would if I hadn't just built a 4p bigadv monster.

And If I might ask, what does "gpu" "true" do?

I've been looking at some of this stuff over in the FAHClient website for another interest of mine. It appears that the "GPU True" option is required to update GPUs.txt file.

Ah! Right! Would this happen to have anything to do with the 200 series cards not showing anything on v7? (Unknown for credit etc)

Just finished two 8057 and picked up two more. Very steady now, on the way to a record 300k. day

No, that's a result of the work server not being updated to include the points. There are posts about it at FF. Basically the core 11 servers never got updated and at this point probably never will.

Can't say for sure, the oldest card I have is a GTX470.  Buts here's a link to the latest GPUs.txt file that lists all the GPUs that are included in that file.  I do see a few 2xx series cards in there.

Do you have a link, or know where this was posted? I couldn't find anything, but I was being a little impatient at the time.

Here is one. It was from back in July. Supposedly with the QRB, all GPU assingment servers are going to be updated, but I don't see the point of updating servers that assign cores that don't work with QRB.

Can't you pause
Close
Delete the gpu.txt file from the work directory
then restart V7 and it pulls the latest?

Lefty, in that link that I shared above, it says "It should be updated on restart if there is a GPU slot or no slots and gpu=true in the config".

Do not give up! I did... Others helped me... 30+ hours of mostly 8057's as a result! What are you using (Tracker or V7?) and how may we help?

SleinousAh! Right! Would this happen to have anything to do with the 200 series cards not showing anything on v7? (Unknown for credit etc)
No, that's a result of the work server not being updated to include the points. There are posts about it at FF. Basically the core 11 servers never got updated and at this point probably never will.

Unless they decide to add QRB to the GPU2 clients also, would benefit the AMD cards also. Would be awesome!

I Dont run SMP, i always used the tracker but i swiched to the V7 to get a few 8057
I followed the guide on overclockers.com step by step and i do get them just not the bonus points.

If you've never done SMP before then your passkey is probably not 'primed' yet, so keep folding those 8047 and soon you'll start getting bonus. Someone remind me how many WUs before you start getting bonus? 10 is it?

I don't know if it has been mentioned before or not. Did you get a Passkey and do you have it in place? All of mine do because I SMP fold also. If one is needed hopefully it doesn't have to be primed with SMP only to start getting the bonus points.

Yeah its 10 successful ones. I wonder if the priming system is based on SMP though? Since everyone that is getting bonus points right now started getting credit immediately when they received a 8057 WU and all of them are CPU/GPU combined folders. If you get the pass key I would run it, and start checking after the 10th upload. If you still aren't getting points, you might have to do 10 successful SMP/CPU units to get it primed.

I just read the FAQ and it says 10 WU's doesnt say SMP
I only need to finish 8 more to see if it works.

Yeah, back in the day before QRB for GPUs it was just CPU so I assume completing it for GPUs now counts towards your 10

You are set-up correctly and definitely receiving the QRB;

Your WU (P8057 R0 C701 G10) was added to the stats database on 2012-11-16 13:09:16 for 20282.4 points of credit.

No worries.

I poked around in FF but there is no information - that I could find =  that clarifies if the 80% requirement for gpu is based on gpu performance or smp/gpu performance, or indeed both.
Logic would dictate that it is based on GPU; Stanford and logic are not really synonymous though.

If you still don't get bonus points after completing 10 units, I'd post a question in FF and ask.

there we go then, v7 isnt showing your bonus because u havent completed 10 smp yet on that passkey but gpu qrb apparentley works regardless.

The fix: complete 10 smp in order to have a fully functioning v7 client

OR

wait until stanford updates qrb gpu to full release so 8057's count in passkey count

going to ask a dumb question:
on an smp 10 or 12 I assume no flags anymore that boost ppd?
