For anyone else thinking of joining, or posting results here that might get reposted there, keep in mind that the specific request from Stanford staff was for comparisons between these new QRB WUs and the old non-QRB WUs.
For the best example of a post with all the important info, with data from multiple projects, including OS, core, and hardware, see this one:

... by someone that demonstrates their ignorance of the effect of EVGA's folding program on our output at the beginning of the month.  Well, it's the internet, there are trolls everywhere, even in the beta forum.

Yeah, on that same graph you can see we were at 30mil in the beginning of October.
If any team gets the blame its OCN! But seriously, if you look at their first page, almost everyone is above their daily average. Similar to how we were yesterday.

The race is on.

Finally got a couple of 8057's running myself! 122k ppd on the 660ti, and 131k ppd on the 670. Not taking away from the SMP at all. Running a bit hotter and I can hear the capacitor whine from one or both cards, but all seems well.

Those are some nice numbers we're throwing out now! Let's see what effect this has on total EVGA production over the course of next week!

Really? I'm 7-8c cooler when on a 8057 vs a 8018.

PSU maybe? My PC P&C 750 would wine when i had it under very high load back when i had a dedicated GPU rig. Your sig does not seem like it would load your psu like that but that is where I would start looking.

Thought I'd come back and report on my experiment with attempting to get my Kepler to Fold using the Console Client (ver 6.34).  I did try copying FAHCore_15.exe (ver 2.25, required for Kepler)) to my GPU Console Client folder.  Thought maybe I could snag a WU that would expect to use the 2.25 Core and run.  The problem is that I'm being delivered WUs (like WU 10503) that require FAHCore11 (ver 1.31 from 2009) which get's automatically downloaded and executed.  Kepler doesn't run under that Core, so the WU just hangs.

I know before anyone says it..."just run V7".  I'm a Console lover and can't help myself, but it appears that I'm also not gonna get anywhere with that either.  So, it's goodbye Console for my Kepler, and hello V7.  Gotta quit messing around with this anyway 'cause our 2012 Time Zime Challenge is startin' in a couple days.

As you know I don't have a 6xx video card to test with, but I think there trying very hard to wing us off v6.
I know a few config mods & a few other things I can test that may force a different WU download.
I'd be will to try & give you the results, if you would like?

Yeah, running 8018's now and all is silent.  Wasn't bad, just slightly audible over my 180mm case fan.

EDIT:  I'd rather be hearing the whining again!

You've got enough on your hands helping the team reap the best from V7 these days!  You had shared some flags with me before that I did try, but I got the same results.  Seems these 10503 WUs have my number and "they're after me".    I'm on V7 at least until we get to the other side of the Time Zone Challenge.  As always though, your help is greatly appreciated and useful to us all!  If i could give you a "Blue Ribbon" for it I would!

I'm sure you may know this already but you can test without actually trying to work a WU.
Delete any current WU in V6 "since its not going to work a core11 anyways on a 6xx card" so don't feel bad for doing it.
Add any flags to the command line you wish to try/test
start v6 & quickly note the IP its trying to connect to, quickly CTRL+C to close before it actually downloads a WU.
Edit: if closed to quick to note the IP you can always look at the FAHlog.txt for the IP it tried to connect to.
If it tried to connect to 171.67.108.21 or 171.67.108.11 its still trying to get a core11 WU.
-betateam -verbosity 9 -gpu 0 would be the 1st flags I would test, with a [clienttype]type=3 added at the end within the client.cfg change the 3 to 1 test again, then 0 then 2.
Only 1,2,3 & 0 actually work, so no since in trying 4 & above.
You can also try different bigpackets=big ,normal & small as this also has a effect at times on what WU it will try to download.
That's about all I can think of to try off the top of my head at the moment. I'll update if I think of anything else.

Edit2: oh ya when deleting be sure to remove file queue.dat & work folder, also doesn't hurt to delete unitinfo.txt & FAHlog.txt.
Those are the 4 things I would remove before testing.

Edit3: To add to this I think its all going to come down to the executable file of v6 as I think the type of card
it picks is embedded into the exe unlike v7 where it looks at a txt file that contains the list of cards
that are usable to fold on & what type of work it should get.
Think they will have to release a updated exe with the 6xx patched in to it
before it will ever work on a 6xx card. So its confused on the type of card & that is why its getting core11 WU's.
Getting a update for v6 is probably out of the question since they would probably prefer to phase out v6.
But wouldn't hurt to try dropping that updated list into the v6 folder to see if it might read it like v7 does.

Sorry for all the edits, just trying to think out side the box. lol

I agree with Barbarossa, you'll have to add the "-forcegpu nvidia_fermi" flag, because the AS server doesn't recognize your Kepler GPU properly and is giving you an GPU2 (FAHCore11) WU.

I don't have an Kepler GPU yet, but I know the Console client should work, because everyone who is using the modified Tracker V2 for their Kepler GPU is actually running the Console client. Tracker is a very nice interface which makes it very easy to configure the Console client (Edit: and also to monitor your clients).

Looking at some logfiles posted in Jedi's thread, you'll need to have the following flags for the Console client to be able to fold with an Kepler GPU:
 -forcegpu nvidia_fermi -betateam -gpu x   (x is the GPU number).

And FAHCore15 v2.24 or the latest v2.25 of course.

BTW: I'm still using the Systray client for all my GPUs and I'm not running the beta flag.
I'm patiently waiting for the QRB to go official, although it's very tempting to go from ~200K PPD to ~1.5Mil PPD on my 14 GPUs with the current beta WUs (if I would get P8057 WUs of course).

Barbarossa, DutchForce and Wolf...you guys are my new GPU Gurus!!!  It worked!

My GTX690 is running a 7623 WU as we speak under the following parameters:

Console Client ver 6.41r2  (wahoooo!)
Folding arguments = -forcegpu nvidia_fermi -betateam -gpu 0 -verbosity 9
Core = FAHCore_15 (version 2.25)
7623 WU is 3% complete
TPF = 5:16 (not record-breaking TPF and I expect better if I could run the 2.22 Core)
Points = 5187
Estimated completion time = 8.8hrs
Estimated PPD (via HFM) = 14,182

I know that for those that don't see why anyone would use the Console Client, they are probably .  But for this old Console lover, you guys just "made my day".

Thank-you fellas!

texinga

Barbarossa, DutchForce and Wolf...you guys are my new GPU Gurus!!!  It worked!

My GTX690 is running a 7623 WU as we speak under the following parameters:

Console Client ver 6.41r2  (wahoooo!)
Folding arguments = -forcegpu nvidia_fermi -betateam -gpu 0 -verbosity 9
Core = FAHCore_15 (version 2.25)
7623 WU is 3% complete
TPF = 5:16 (not record-breaking TPF and I expect better if I could run the 2.22 Core)
Points = 5187
Estimated completion time = 8.8hrs
Estimated PPD (via HFM) = 14,182

I know that for those that don't see why anyone would use the Console Client, they are probably .  But for this old Console lover, you guys just "made my day".

Thank-you fellas!
