patches, it's most likely the units you are getting. Can you let us know which units you were folding at the time of those two PPD values?

All GPU's shut down until they get this mess straighten out as per midnight last night. Its already reflected in WU count & points for today, FaH & the science is at a big loss until they get this fixed. Tighten up PG your missing out on a lot of work that could be done.

the new core15 v2.25 has an optimization removed so kepler can run(ie the hang/lag issue) this is due to a bug in Nvidia drivers . My guess is the optimization will be placed back in ( a new version )when Nvidia brings out a driver with the error in question fixed by then a new core could possible ready with cuda5 optimizations

With a kepler optimized core, what is a realistic estimate for ppd (without QRB) compared to a fermi?

we won't know till they are implemented in cuda5 I would just like them to fix the bug in the driver so we can go back to regular production numbers instead of losing 30%

troy8d You are joking, right? How can we possibly know? You can't possibly know, that's why you estimate. For instance, the improvement between the two cards in Bionic can be used to form an approximate improvement in F@H. Sorry if the question offended you, but it was directed at the people who might be willing to answer. :)

8018's are currently the best WU's IMHO. That's not saying much, but they beat anything else available ATM.

I've wondered many times if we are expecting a great result from the optimized Kepler core, but may find less than expected when it is released. Definitely a SWAG though unless someone had a model to put data through that could produce expected figures. So, I stayed up all night and created the model. It showed remarkable results that "tweaked my melon"! It shows that Kepler will have a 75% increase in PPD, reset the Folding Team world standings, cure baldness, make contact with Aliens, and cause [H] to say "I love EVGA".

Some have been downgrading to 2.22 core (rename the exe IIRC); it'll work until you get a WU that requires a newer one (it'll download the newer core).

This is what I do every time a 7623 WU comes along on a Fermi. Just need to look at the log files. For the Kepler I just leave it at 2.25

Okay - installed and running! Tight fit, but that's to be expected. 660ti is folding at 71c due to space limitations and I may swap places between the 660ti and 670 to see what I can do. My sound card (outboard pro for recording - has to stay) is a pesky full-size PCI so there's nothing I can do about space rearrangement unless I mod a slot. Still acceptable for now.

I'm still shocked I was just checking my PPD on my two GTX 680's if they keep folding the WU 8057 my PPD will be approximately 337,000 .Thats only counting my 680's and not any other hardware

I wish I was that lucky there have been reports on kepler so I know for certain this is not a Fermi thing I guess I'll just have to boost my production the hard way. I even have a guest folding machine for a few days. My bro got a new computer and I have to swap the files and stuff across from the old failing one and one HD be nice to fold on another X79 Water cooled system for a few days... It will tide me over till the rest of my parts come in(next week)...and nothing else needs replacing be a nice bump after that...
