Is there any indication of a time frame for this to be implemented full time?

Part of the problem is that even people on the FAH Beta Team are having some difficulty getting these new "beta" WUs. It may help move this Beta GPU time-frame along if people that are not on the Beta Team cease using that "beta" flag on their GPUs for awhile. I do realize that the suggestion causes an immediate issue with Kepler GPUs since they won't Fold without the "beta" flag being set. Just thinkin' out loud...

actually the kepler's will run on v 7.2.9 without the the Beta flag now so everyone could go back to regular GPU units until the Beta team have had their fill but your asking people to not indulge taking those BIG points Doesn't matter to me I still haven't seen one on my kepler all 8018's till today...now 7623's

Thanks for the update XZ, I haven't Folded on my Kepler recently and wasn't aware they had fixed that "beta" flag issue for those GPUs. Yep, I know that the temptation to go after the new Big-PPD beta WU is strong...heck who wouldn't want to process a bunch of those! I was just responding to the question above about how long the Beta will run. Technically, we are not supposed to be running "beta" WUs anyway and until the Beta Team has the opportunity to do their thing, we are all waiting for that process to complete. Did you ever get accepted onto the Beta Team?

Was not aware of the Kepler non-beta abilities either. If this is the case, I will gladly remove that flag.

texinga Did you ever get accepted onto the Beta Team? Not yet...they sure don't pay attention to the beta signup thread until they do I have free reign to post (Im muzzled after) if you want to do kepler all you need is the advanced flag so you pick up the new core (kepler needs that) and the lastest GPUlist for either version of V7 (the beta - latest version already gets the latest GPUlist) there is an updated GPUlist that correctly displays a 670 as a gk104 I looked at the New GPU list and it looks like they fixed all the miss identifications list can be found here http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=21205 if you find that a card is not on the list or there is an error please post in the FF http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=21204

I may as well update all of that and see what happens as I'm currently running an smp 7083 for 10k ppd and a 7623 gpu at 14k ppd. ?!?!?!?!

I was questioning the whole strategy of awarding 70k for a completed bigadv and 15k for a gpu wu considering that the gpus take more energy to run. In the meantime, PG was touting the exceptional processing power of the gpus. It didn't add up.

Just downloaded and installed 7.2.9. I'm liking the new 2 hour work units (8054) on the GTX 680. The 680 is only using 75% of its power, so it's running cooler than that with the beta units. Still only 20k ppd though. May have to try the beta flag as the lottery ticket for the big points, but with the older client I kept getting 8018 6hr jobs.

EDIT: My 660ti is scheduled to arrive on Friday. A weekend release of hearty QRB's would make my weekend! +1 Fingers crossed +10, still on the hunt for some of that QRB goodness!

Not sure if it's related to beta or new core or something but my main rig restarted over 20 times yesterday, nothing was running except for f@h, and there were no power cuts. Very odd. EDIT: Nope, just happened again. Looking like a PSU issue :/

I tried to remove the beta flag for just advmethods and got 12 non-contacts from the server. Back to beta with 15-20% ppd drop. New WU's though. Forget the project number though. Was 630a before work. :-/

Don't forget with v7 you need to set the client-type to advanced not advmethods. I just did this today to make sure the beta team was getting some p8057.

I've been getting a lot of the 68xx GPU WUs this morning. I've also came across a bizarre 6333 point WU last night? I've only got GPU clients running at the moment and I can't find any project with that point value. Not exactly sure what that is, but will investigate more when I get home. (I might have had 2 clients folding on a single GPU, but that still doesn't explain the point value). Edit: I'm folding without -beta or -advmethods flags.
