everyone calm down jimmy I please remember that not everyone sees things the way you do. remember that. try to be helpful without unintentional making anyone uncomfortable the idea is to help people without chasing members away Tex: had I been up I would have answered you right away, thus avoiding this whole ordeal I however do need a bit of sleep now and then just remember that some people may not have had their cup of java in the morn and may not comprehend well on either end. jimmycricket Awe is someone getting mad because they lacking understanding of something so simple? I find it incredibly funny that you're trying to insult my reading ability when you're the one that can't read that members are deleting the 2.25 core and replacing it with the 2.22 core. And being rude to other members? Where exactly am I being rude and to whom?
Up there in BOLD is exactly what everyone is doing but for some strange reason you can't comprehend that
So you're so knowledgeable now that unless someone asks a question in exactly the way that you want it, they don't deserve a polite response or help? Hmmm...if this is any example of the team we have become, then it may be time to consider other things.
No way! You're not leaving

To my fellow team-mates where we have worked together on so many occasions, I should not have said "maybe it's time to do something else". You folks deserve better than that, and I also appreciate the words of encouragement. I feel the same way about you too and this is a great team in many ways. I should have just waited and one of you would have been along to answer. I know that, and should have waited for it rather than get into a tit-for-tat with another person's response. I just wanted to pop back-in and let you know how much I appreciate you guys, your help and dedication to our team. I'm still here.

Xavier Zepherious gamejrock I just put in my old GTX 460 and got an 8057 WU and I'm getting a TPF of 3:18 and Est. PPD of 61K. Does that sound right? It seems a bit low. which core you using v2.25 or v2.22? 2.22 will give you better results (but you have to manually downgrade to get that) Is this something that need to be babysat or is it a one and done fix. Want to switch my 2nd rig to v7 from tracker but must be a set it and forget it fix. Another thing in v7, Can i set a quad to fold on only 2 cores without 3rd party apps? Would like to see how v7 works on that rig but not going to take the ppd hit on the 460s to find out.

yes you can config the cpu for number of threads you have to go into configure->slots highlight SMP ->select edit then change the value for number of threads from -1 (default -which lets it do what the cpu is capable of) to the number of threads to use I suggest you finish the SMP WU before configuring it

I don't feel so lost now. I figured I was the only one having difficulty setting up v7. When I first opened it up, I couldn't even find the expert tab because the v7 window was too small.
You can set it to limit the cores(threads). If you're on a quad core 8 thread, you probably want to set it to 6. That's as far as my help can go cause I'm on my phone. Just keep looking, its in there somewhere, lol.

I need to babysit since every time a 76xx WU is sent the new core is downloaded. This is with Tracker, not sure about V7. Since that WU needs core 2.25 it's likely a universal problem.

Core 2.25 is only needed if you have a Kepler card so it can fold I haven't gotten any 76xx WUs so I don't know if 2.25 will redownload or not on v7, I've most been getting 8057 with 8018 sprinkled lightly

Yeah, 76xx will force 2.25 in v7. It happened to me overnight. That Wu has a real high tpf, so you have to wait quite awhile before you can go back to 2.22. I had 200k ppd yesterday, I'll be lucky to get 50k today.

Go to Configure--Slots--GPU--Edit--Extra slot options--Add-- Name:Client-type-- Value:beta Click Ok twice and Save Thanks! I actually figured it out while I was waiting for a response but it's nice to know I did the right thing. Still waiting for some QRB goodness.

I just know I got 3 of the 8057 WUs over the weekend and one today. Otherwise it was 8018 and 76xx WUs. I liked the 8054 WUs, but haven't seen those for maybe 4 days now. They were the "nice" ones.. 2 hours long.. and still 20k ppd. That's just on the GTX 680. That QRB seems ok, but if anything it's "way too high" of a points estimate. That seems like the base * 8 or 2458 * 8 giving 19,668 for my GTX 680 (at stock). I'm not sure I like the QRB at all quite frankly. If anything the base points should be lower if they do this QRB estimate or closer to the base points of CPUs.

Once you change the beta folder to v2.22 it should remain that way until they force v2.25 for beta. Witch may happen at some point.

As for the other Core_15 folder it can be downgraded any time to 2.22 so long as its not working a 76xx WU. 76XX WU will auto force a new download back to 2.25. Once downgraded to 2.22 on a 8xxx WU so long as you continue to get those it will remain 2.22.
