GIGABYTE Previews Z79A-UD13 Motherboard with 8-way SLI/CrossFire GIGABYTE has posted up a picture of their upcoming Z79A-UD13 Motherboard with 8-way SLI. It looks like this board features the Intel LGA2011 socket, has 14 SATA III headers thanks to seven Marvell controllers and can handle 8-way SLI/CrossFire. It looks like you'll have to run this motherboard without a case though as none are available for this XXXXL-ATX motherboard.  Time for a quick preview of what we’ll be showing at Computex in June this year; it’s the new GA-Z79A-UD13 motherboard with 8-way SLI/CrossfireX via 4 additional PCIe bridge chips. It also features an unbelievable additional 14 SATA ports (8 from the chipset + 14 for a total of 22) from 7 Marvell controllers that can be found under the specially extended South Bridge heatsink, together with the PCIe bridge chips. Due to its extended size, we’re calling this the XXXXL-ATX form factor and are working with all your favorite case manufacturers to have chasses available at launch day.

being lga 2011 capable it should be quad channel ram. I guess they bank on you just putting 8 or 16 in it to start.
