kougar This thread is incredible to read. Judging by the beer bottle I'm going to guess alcohol... It is really sad to see this happening. Especially as Jab-Tech decided to close up at the end of last year. So that's now officially Jab-Tech, DangerDen, HSF, Petras, and Cool-tech? (whatever it was from many years ago) that are gone. What places are even left? Sidewinder and what else?
But August 19, 2013 "The Latest Sidewinder News - New Products and more" on Sidewinder Web Site. I think they are a little behind in what is new. Also they are limited to the brands they sale. We need FrozenCPU.

Mismanagement seems to be the fall of many websites/businesses. If you develop your business well, stand by your customers, and work hard to maintain quality your website/business will flourish. I don't know if frozencpu can recover.

Wow, I didn't realize Sidewinder's selection was so limited... they don't have the same selection at all. rjohnson11 Mismanagement seems to be the fall of many websites/businesses. Frozen's problem wasn't just one snafu, it's been an unending chain of them. I get that stuff happens... but management let it keep happening and it snowballed. I'd be downright pissed if I had had paid for a non-shipped item, particularly given it took more than a week for the site to stop accepting orders. I wouldn't order from them again even if the site came back, it'd have to show it's a stable responsible company again before they'd get my business.

I think this might be true, my order was placed on the night of the 6th and an email sent to me on 7th that it had shipped. This is what I get if I try to track the UPS Number they gave me. >>> UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later. >>> So sometime over the weekend is when they must have started to break down, Monday was the 9th and UPS never picked up any shipments that day and then on the 10th everyone starting reading the closed down we are now seeing.

From everything i've gathered this close-out is due to self destruction rather than a failing business. This really sucks that one person ruined all of these jobs for nothing. It would be nice to see this bought up and ran by new management. I hope that guy can get his bearings straight again.

I have used FrozenCPU in the past for years for water cooling/phase change components and am sorry to see them fall apart like this, But hopefully there's always the possibility of them recovering and restarting up with a fresh crew again.

Supposedly, the trashing of FCPU happened roughly around 1-2PM EST. on 2/7. It seems like all shipments were halted that day or by Monday, as nothing went in or out after that time. Sadly, that probably means your order was boxed up, had a tracking number, and just needed to be dropped off with the the shipper. It may very well just be sitting there, waiting to go out.

True as that is what I too was thinking. That is why I gave it 9 days, 4 more days passed the 1-5 day shipping time. I really needed what I ordered as they where the only ones in stock anywhere.

Looking at those Facebook responses... Looks like things have took a turn for the worse. This is really sad and unfortunate.

I think FrozenCPU is done for. Who's going to trust that company after reading they failed to refund all the orders they never completed. If the owner cared about his company, he would of made that his top priority.

There is some....controversy over those comments. The OCN member that started the original thread on FCPU disputes much of what was said, including the owner's marital status. At this time, I would take it with a grain of salt until we hear more details. If others are following the other threads about this on OCN and [H] (now closed), and even Reddit, just keep it classy here on this forum. Not to suggest other forums are not keeping it classy, but some information posted about this development is somewhat borderline when it comes to the TOS.

Wasn't there a photo of a couple post-its with staff names and "fired" written on them? ...and why is that posted on some individual's facebook page that we're supposed to accept is Mark's wife, and yet is not on FrozenCPU's facebook page when I looked just now?

At the end of the day it will not matter what Mark says. I see this all the time. One party/side runs around with their mouth wide open spreading information while the other is silent. More often than not, the silent one holds all the cards and knows the truth. And frankly, is usually publicly sacrificed even though they did the right thing in staying quiet. "Usually". I am not saying this is the case in this situation, because it is possible. However the odds lean the other way. Who knows, it might have been a benefits/hourly rate disagreement. And the entire team banded together to try and force what they wanted. And it backfired. Businesses come and go. This is why it is smart to always pay with a CC'd. It is why I have a CC'd from PayPal on my Paypal as well. It gives me two ways to get funds back... The problem with our world today is the internet has created 800lbs. gorillas and or know it all's. In the past, it stayed local. I still have money owed to me from a company that went belly up. You do not see me posting it all over the place. Does it take time to get the funds back? Yes it can of course. But we are consumers. Buying is not a God given right. It is a choice and privilege. This is why "Many" good paying jobs require the "Net" as a part of back ground checks. You would be shocked how many very good candidates do not get jobs today because of what they have been willing to post in their past. Of course I am not talking about McDonald's... I mean real jobs in the $60k+ world...

I suppose, even if what she said is true, I would like to hear the explanation of why the whole crew up and left... It may ease some of the tension if it was some malicious intent from the employees to damage the company and their reputation. Looks like they need more work on damage control, cause right now... It's looking really bad. transdogmifier "If someone starts drama, they're usually the problem" was what my Dad said ...(Not exactly in those words, can't say what he did).... That really is the way upper management thinks. I've been in the situation where I was looked at as the person causing drama because I wouldn't sign a bogus write up from my supervisor that was trying to cover him self. I was harassed and had to take it up with HR. It took them nearly half a year for HR to see it for what it was because that supervisor had been making very gross assumptions against other employees behind closed doors. Preconceptions are also a problem. I try not to prejudge a situation because someone is being vocal about it. Sometimes those are the ones that probably had past situations where they stayed quiet and it didn't turn out well for them, so they're trying to point out the situation for what it really is in hopes of a better outcome.

Hell I can't afford a 5960X plus nothing I do yet can utilize it... I'm leaning towards Z97... I won a Rampage V Extreme BNIB for $380 but the eBay seller canceled my order...
That is only because you do not Fold or Crunch. I love the 8 True Cores for PRIMEGRID and 16 for all other.

Appears they will try to re-open, the only problem is I feel the way this situation was handled (no matter the truth) will definitely hurt the business, and will ultimately force them to shut down. When you run a small niche business like this, bad word of mouth is like cancer and will kill you off. I think if he would have filled all orders while blocking new orders, or put the website down for maintenance while this was going on he would be a lot better off. I know I will not order from again, using a CC or not, you cannot leave your customers without answers.
