Re: FrozenCPU CLOSED! 2015/02/11 08:10:38 (permalink)
This just posted at OCN again hopefully not true..

I can confirm wholeheartedly that what has been stated is true. I know it doesn't look great being the newest member to add in on this topic, but I have kept my lips sealed watching all that has gone down.
I have first-hand info from SEVERAL of the employees, and I have seen the madness unfold IN PERSON. Destruction of the warehouse was done on the owners accord, apparently following a typical binge around 1:30am Sat. I saw in person every computer smashed, pos and front end system smashed, product thrown and tossed about......that's a lot of screws....but this man is screwy.
The only voice you have heard from the "Company" has been late at night......hmm.
Nothing is coming out, and nothing can be shipped for returns......
Business seems to be not running as far as it physically goes.

I can tell you two employees were "fired" by way of post-it notes. One delivered while that employee was working with a customer. The chaos that happened late Saturday's workday prompted the employees to double check before returning to work on Monday. It was clear to employees that they had NO WAY to run this business, and with an owner pacing back and forth thru the warehouse, wandering aimelessly.......I wouldn't show up to work either.

I really do hope the man gets his life back together one day. These guys who have worked for this company have bent over backwards for YEARS running and maintaining this business. Not for Mark Friga. Each and every one of the employees had the drive, passion and their whole hearts dedicated to what they were doing. For each other, they stood by each other. For a community in this world who they were supporting, everything going down on the inside didn't matter. They LOVED what they did. And they did it.

As for a skeleton crew........
That's what an addiction will turn into if you spend years only doing "you," and expecting these guys to run your business

Bad sign.  Pictures were posted showing the insides are trashed:

Although there's still no official confirmation one way or the other, the pictures do seem to match up with a previous tour taken by Skinnee:

Specifically, one of the offices appear to be identical.

This is bad. I just ordered on the 9th and was wondering why it hasn't been shipped yet. Says it's in the packing stage at the warehouse ha, ha. Hope somehow everything gets worked out with the company. Checked with bank and I don't see a charge as of today.

I have the other two images that were posted, but I'm going to refrain from posting them at this time.  OCN hasn't explained why the thread disappeared or commented about it, and it appears no new threads have been posted.  That may be an admin choice to either move the thread out of public for now until a more official statement is made by someone, or they may have just deleted it.

I would suspect that you are right. There would really not be any reason the OCN admins would keep a thread like that with only unconfirmed information at this point.

I don't know if it's that, specifically, because there was a pretty solid circumstantial picture of bad things happening.  What I can say from watching the thread, as moderation was starting to get a lot heavier over the last few hours.  By that, I mean, they were removing off-topic posts and personal attacks from people.  On-topic posts, from what I could see, were not being removed.  As it is, I can't say with anything other than speculation that most likely they decided to stop it until there is more official news out there.  There's still a thread going over at [H], but it's only a fraction the size of the one at OCN.

I'm surprised that one at OCN was there as long as it was; lots of personal attacks and negativity as well as probable slander. Anyway, I guess we'll all know more when there's a statement of some sort from the company.

I'll probably merge the threads later today.  There will be no sticky.

Brief updates:

The OCN forum manager posted that the original thread is being cleaned and will be reopened later:

People on OCN are reporting that the phone number for the business has been disconnected.  That could mean really bad things for the business, or just that if there are people there, they don't want to deal with the phone constantly ringing.  If it's the latter, however, that's really not a good reason to avoid contacting customers.

Kyle at [H] also posted the full email he received from the FCPU owner, which was only slightly longer:

Mark's reply:

I would just avoid FrozenCPU for at least 6 months. Would you really want to deal with a company where the owner flips out and destroys things all over the warehouse.

I don't blame any of FrozenCPU employee's quitting when the owner breaks computers and POS units. That is an unsafe work environment. I would report him to the police to make sure they check him out. You never know, the next time he loses it he could be armed at work.

Verifiably?  No.

Circumstantially, it seems far less likely that employees went on a rampage.  If that was the case, there would likely be a police report and police presence at the store, and there have been no reports of that.  If others caused the damage, or damage caused by structural failure in the building, it seems to me that it would also be more likely that the owner would issue a statement, rather than the silence that's been present since the initial posts on OCN.

From what i have read it wasn't due to lazy employees or ones with poor attitudes. The employee's finally got sick of being taken advantage of and under paid for putting up with owners BS. They walked out and the boss lost it.

I've dealt with difficult management, but like paying rent better. But, if this is what happened at FcPU, and no official statement from Boss_man, ill most likely take my bizz somewhere else, to my added "no longer support you list"...

If what were hearing is true, other people should do the same thing.  Add the company to do not support list. If i was a supplier, i would be demanding payment upfront for all future orders.

For anyone who might have a order with this company that is not fulfilled contact your credit card (not a debit card) company first to see if you need to file a claim with them. After that contact the nearest Better Business Bureau and file paperwork with them.
