If you have more than one card, the program should detect it and automatically update one at a time.

Solneman u.deee I´ve got the 460 768 mb non ee, non sc Bios Update worked finde, Fanspeed is now 1170 rpm aprox. Temperature is ok so far, but with a dual Monitor Setup it rises up to 51° C (idle) without any changes in Fan Speed. Is that ok so far or is this too hot for idle? This is because there is no P03 clock domain in card bios so the card runs with P00 domain all the time while in dual monitor setup - this means full power! There were several 460 cards with the same problem (Gigabyte, Palit, Gainward), but these got the P03 domain via bios update in the meantime - nothing too difficult to make. Not the EVGA 460s, I wrote to the european support about that problem, but nothing happened obviously... My GTX460 (768MB base model) downclocks to 405 MHz core clock with my 1650x1050 monitor and 1080p TV attached and stays there while watching video in Media Center on the TV and with the monitor showing the Windows 7 desktop. (GPU usage is about 6%.) How far down should (can) it go? How far down do these cards go with single monitors attached? BTW Thanks for the 30% EVGA!!! Thanks from me too!

i believe Gigabyte does not cover Bios altering under warranty just like EVGA does not, unless the Bios are provided by Gigabyte and given to the card owner from them. While i think you could do this you would be voiding your warranty if the card dies and you cant flash the bios back to the original from Gigabyte to RMA it with them.

You can only update with the one for your card, not with the one for others. It's not a FPB to update a normal card to FTW status, it's only to a) give the normal cards a little kick and b) to allow you fine tuning the fan speed. So if you make an update with the FTW bios, you would only get the fan speed changes, nothing else.

Woah is this true what i am hearing? GTX 460 SC cannot overclock high as the stock ones? How is that impossible? Is there a limit they set? I have the SC. I never knew that and i actually have not tried OC'ing it yet.. i don't know why :D lol. Maybe i love it too much lol.

So does this FPB void any warranties, or reduce life expectancy?

I guess the simplest way to confirm if I picked one up with this update already is to try cranking the fan speed on my SC to 100% and see if it is possible?

I just tried the upgrade on my GTX 460 and the cmd window comes up and quickly goes away, so fast I can't read it. How do I know if I have it or not already? I just bought and installed it this weekend. It's a EVGA 01G-P3-1377-TR GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi) FTW 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 card I got from Newegg.

bill_VA I used this one: 01G-P3-1370-XX - EVGA GeForce GTX 460 1024MB Is mine new enough to not require this update? The 1377 is the most recent FTW card, My guess is you don't need an update. If the fan speed goes from 30% lowest to 100% max then your updated.

I recently bought a gtx460 (01G-P3-1373-AR) and have a stupid question. If my fan speed is already idles at 30% in auto mode and can manually set the fan speed to 100%, would it be safe to say that I do not need this FPB update? Thanks.
