Hey dudes I built a decent rig about a year ago maybe a little longer and with the release of For Honor I've been stuttering a whole lot while playing it.

My other games run just fine specs are as listed

I have 16gb of ram only utilizing 8gb while in game, a EVGA 980 ti 6gb only utilizing 2.5gb of that per session its GPU clock speed gets around 1300MHZ to 1400MHZ while playing, and an Intel i7 Devils Canyon 4790k 4.0GHZ operating on a Windows 8.1 with the current EVGA drivers

Quick edit.... I get the screen stutters even when I drop the settings to low across the board =/

Hello and welcome to the forum. Knowing what resolution you're running at would help too. I'm guessing with your vram usage it's 1080p. And be prepared for the onslaught of OMGWAYSOW8.1 crowd. I'm not one of them...really... But...seems stuttering is being widely reported for this game. It might be up to the developers to patch it.

So I just tested out some more stuff. I dropped the resolution and lowered the graphics to nothing and still am super choppy. I guess I will chalk this one up to the game just being crappy? Kinda sucks cause the game is super enjoyable and addictive but the stutter kinda interrupts the gameplay idk

It also may mean it is time for a newer Graphics Card or a second one for SLI.

Believe it or not, the Win10 update servers still work for the free update. If you're interested...

One question we forgot to ask is if you have used GeFarce Experience to change any of the game setting.

I did use the GeForce Experience to change the settings but I have altered those settings and made my own custom settings.
Should I remove that program? Does it cause issues?

As long as you don't set it to automatically make changes, it shouldn't. But if you have, or used it to make changes in the past, a frequent bit of advice is to delete the game .ini files (setttings) usually located either in the user or game folder. The game will regenerate them fresh when you restart (as always back up any changes first). If you have no idea what I mean by that, then leave the game files alone. Also, having Shadow Play enabled might cause issues.
