NO!!???... I did not say that flags work as they always did...there are many people not on the beta team churning out BETA WU's (unless something has happen in last few days to change that) Im on the beta team....hence Im not suppose to directly help you get BETA WU's unless you are on the BETA team that doesn't stop those that aren't on BETA TEAM from helping others posting about it(I was once one of those people who could have directly helped you)... the information was already posted here ...so I directed you to read it ...that I can do Beta members are urged to get people to join the beta team to run beta (rather than have general public run them at their own risk) beta team rules of engagement (always changing too) http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=18031 beta team overview http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=8

I read on page one that the AMD Linux support was disabled due to an unstable driver issue. Is that still the case? I tried firing up FAHClient today on one of my Linux 7970 crunching systems and the client found the GPUs but an exception is reported that the client could not get an assignment from the server. I just wanted to see if anyone had new information on Linux AMD support. Thanks.

Be sure to use the "-gpu x" flag if you choose to run v6 or you'll get the following error: "ERROR:Option 'gpu' has no default and is not set." Back to my problem; my GTX580 is running stock clocks and its folded P8900 without any errors ever since P8900 was released. Thanks for you guys' advice.

Looks like there may be a change coming with a new WU P8901 showing up and on the psummery page. This may be the reason there are no P8900 to be got at the moment. Loading the server with the new WU maybe?

I hope you are right. Finishing my last 8900 and getting 76xx again. They run too hot on my system. May have to shut down till my Kepler get here next week. I did notice after download of new drivers that my TPF lost 30 + seconds.

Nvidia needs to get off their ass and hurry up with the CUDA JIT. Sounds like it would be minimal work to add it to Core 17, I can only imagine the PPD one it hits. I bet we could see 300K or more on 8900 and 8901.

Not only will this technology allow us to offer support for the CUDA platform with FahCore 17, but the JIT compiler is likely to deliver a massive speedup. He is not talking new core, but same core only much faster on CUDA. Nvidia has been dragging its feet on this one for a long time now.
