I was mentioning the fact that on the EVGA Forum, I can't find the Code Tags that are present in FoldingForum. However, I experimented in the Full Editor and it was available under the "Source Code". Sorry for not being clear in the first place.

Yea its different here and I get lost there myself at times.
At the top of the quick reply window is a click-able link to "Open Full Version" or when using quote.
Once in full, with red square is code, one just behind it is quote.
Edit: The paper clip is a nice fetcher here to easy upload pictures direct to EVGA,
no need to 2nd hand out sources when posting images. So long as its below 500k.

For reference, my 660 Ti FTW is running 2:04 with a PPD of around 60K in windows.  I have an i7-860 (SMP:6) folding as well. 

Also - I notice that my GPU load (as reported in GPU-Z) is around 93%.  I may have missed something in the tread (or other thread), but are others seeing this as well?  Most, if not all, other WU's I have in recent memory have put my GPU's to 100% utilization. 

Now that is most curious.  Given the massive difference in clocks 1137 vs 703, you would expect my card to produce more points.
They do run pretty cool though, I was getting <60c @ 60% fan 23c ambient.

In Linux I had no control or way to OC the 660ti and it ran the same TPF/PPD.
Only thing that worried me was I had no way to control the fan speed and
was at 74c doing the 7663, clocks I believe were 703/3004 if I remember correct.
I'm going to attempt a new setup in Mint 14 here later, wasn't successful last night with my try.
For some reason it isn't installing the client software correctly, or uninstalling it completely.
I was getting a lot of so called bad work units with my try last night. Then a attempt to get
new work that had the same error. I gave up in case it was some error on my end causing the problem.

Some have reported seeing longer TPF after passing a certain point with there OC, but yet still stable.
Maybe try backing it down a little an fold a few farmes to see it TPF gets better?

I didn't get a chance last night to do anymore testing. we had some nasty south Texas spring weather last night that was causing intermittent power outages in my home.
 
 Even my 4 P is currently down till i am sure the powers not going to blip again.  Had to fire it back up 3 times to get my last 4 p done.
 
I will try at some point this morning (its my short week so i am off today) to get the 580 and 670 benched a little. 
 
I will also see what kind of OC i can get on the 670 FTW in linux. and see how high i can get it stable and the results.  I have not OCed a video card in a very long time in linux so it may take a bit of research to do it. As far as what i have seen so far you can still OC GPU in linux. 

That is very possible. I thought i read something about the OC support being removed from the Linux drivers some time point.
 
But i have not dug into it too heavily cause i really don't care to cook my investments. (i do mostly Photoshop. OCing them does not make me work any faster so its kinda pointless for me to do so other then for folding)
 
If nothing else i'll confirm the fact you can not OC the video cards. ;P
 
 
 
 

Okay, Noob alert!
I just downloaded latest V7 (OMG). I'm a tracker guy at heart. Totally unlike earlier versions of v7.
#1. In short, it has missed id my gpu's. When presented with the list of client's during setup I removed CPU and gpu (gt-640) and left gtx 660ti. All's well right? Wrong. Folding slot says 660ti is folding but it's the gt-640.
#2. I'd like to set the beta flags to get in on some of this goodness but can't figure it out and there is little help on the fah site concerning this.
My goal is to try the new core on the 660ti for now and add the 640 later if possible and have everything identified properly. So I need to kill this wu and set it up right.
#3. I'd like to learn how to get along with V7 despite our past rocky relationship.

I don't know how you have your cards slotted into your PC so we cant tell with the old precision. It does not tell you what GPU is in what slot.
 
Precision X shows you what cards in what slot. it may be an idea to try it to be sure your actually looking at the right card and its easier to tell what cards folding too.

1. click the "configure" button
2. click on the "slots" tab
3. double-click on your gpu
4. click "add" on the bottom-right
5. type in client-type for name &
6. beta for the value
7. finally click "ok" and "save" out.

i believe what was reported in your folding slot was accurate.  i.e., it was, in fact, your gtx 660 doing the folding.
btw, when you want to add your other gpu, the sequence would be:
1. configure
2. slots
3. add
4. click gpu
5. lastly ok
good folding.  please keep us updated on how things progress.  you will lovE 7663.

V7 still ID's my gpu's wrong but I may just live with it for 55k ppd. And I'll have to research PrecisionX.

Overclocking your GPU in Linux
If you are doing this, I assume you have already done so in Windows and know the safe clocks for your card(s). To overclock your video card in Linux you have to enable 'coolbits' in your nvidia control panel. To do this we will have to edit the xorg configuration

sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf

And then add 'Option "CoolBits" "1"' under 'Section: "Device"' like so:

    Identifier    "Configured Video Device"
    Driver    "nvidia"
    Option    "NoLogo"    "True"
    Option "Coolbits" "1"

Save the file and quit. Now you will have access to the CoolBits menu under your nvidia control panel
Access the control panel by going to System > Administration > NVIDIA X Server Settings, or simply typing "nvidia-settings" in a terminal. You should now see a 'Clock Frequencies' section where you can set your clocks. This has to be done every time you boot up Linux though, so the most convenient way would be to flash your video card with a BIOS with increased clock settings. Doing that is risky and is NOT RECOMMENDED UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

I'm no Linux uGuru so I wasn't able to find any software that
would show the % being used in the short time I ran the test.
In W7 2x480's I see 95/96% on one card 98/99% on the other, why one it using less I have no clue.
One of the 480's the TPF is always just a few seconds higher than the other no matter the WU.

You can use top to see the % in Linux as you can see Fahcore_a4 is using 10 cores and fahcore_17 is using 1 core on my 980X

you are pumping out a pretty healthy number with your 660 now.  fantastic.  go team, for the cure.
you might have more to squeeze out of your 660.  i'm running a 660Ti FTW.  here's my screen shot.
