Hey all,
I know long time no see, yes the insaniac/maniac duo (Madrias up there ^) are still around. I'm sorry to say I can't fold either, it is tempting. I have a new build, from scratch had nothing but the HAF case, I had a power surge wreck havoc on my computer, the surge protector power board I had it on didn't protect it at all, at the same time I got a virus... it's a long story. I had to turf everything and start new, a little over a year ago I built my first computer from scratch, took me a day (say 9am - 6pm) OS and all, something I'd never done before, I've never seen Mad so pleased and proud as I didn't ask him any questions. So I'm being careful with this build I don't want to put strain on it. I do miss folding though and the team challenges.

It is certainly nice to see such a great response from the community - both the currently active members and a lot of the old timers coming back to support this cause. There were also many responses (some private) that wished they were able to contribute but for various reasons are unable to fold at the moment. The unanimous response from everyone has been support for Todd in this time - whether expressed through throwing some hardware toward his name or verbal support, prayers, and well wishes. An incredible response from an amazing community!

Folding is up and running. Still I had to remain only on SSD because after I've finished my transition to Skylake one of the HDDs started to develop a clicking noise thus I've disconnected all mechanical drives...my W10 does not perform well (cannot install or uninstall some programs-luckily F@H worked) and after the milestone is achieved I'll have to do a fresh install. Anyway in about 4 hours my client should finish first WU on GPU. My question is if I should let the CPU also fold or should I stop it? Thank you.

With absolutely no tweaking or optimizing, I avg between 550k and 750k ppd on two 970 GTX cards at about 60% of the power needed by my old 770s.
The 970's were excellent for folding. Lower power usage while still folding very good numbers. My 970FTW's were good for 300k to 375k PPD depending on the unit. I cant wait to see the numbers for 1080 and 1070. Should be pretty good though, with a decent amount less power than 900 series.

I've seen estimates on the 1080s that indicate we should see roughly 750k ppd on a single 1070 with lower power draw. I plan on ending up with a dual 1070 setup, so I could potentially be looking at 1.5M ppd . . . It's good to be living in the future! *laughs* Also, we're looking to be pushing a total of ~980 million points for Todd at our current rates! Back at it, had to reinstall my client as my CPU stopped getting WU's for some reason. Makes me wish I had more than 1 GPU...
