Okay well I mentioned my problem in a post, but rather than hijack another thread...

http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=1543329 My post in said thread.

So to answer the CPU question Mad...
As for type of CPU, I'll type what my brother wrote down for me, E8500 Intel, FSB - 1333MHZ, socket LGA775, EO/CO = stepping.

And RAM is DDR2, I heard bro at one point say one stick is bad though.

The problem is, It blue screens right after the windows starting screen. My bro tried different drives the WD drive that uses an IDE cable, SATA drives, he tried all the drives in the other computer, he re-TIM'ed twice. That's what I can remember of my brother saying he tried between his grumbling and swearing.

I had my brother switch cases so everything wasn't squished  mainly the cables as all was in my Tt case at first, I put on the OS fine it was the drive with the IDE cable and it was at the point where security and other programs needed putting back on. Then we decide to do the right thing and transfer all to the HAF 922, though bro decided in doing this he'd go to the effort to use the SATA drives and he was going to raid them.
When he had all the hardware transferred over though he pressed the power switch and the thing I noticed was it powered up for a second and died, I'm hoping that wasn't a surge that screwed something up, he noticed it too. Then after that the above started happening.

That's the best I can explain from what I've heard my brother saying as he grumbled or what he told me. As I said I'm a noob. It's also curretly 3am and my rig is in another room I think in parts. But my brother leaves today he's moving cross country, So I'm on my own other than Mad and all you great guys here.

The PSU seems to be continuosly jumping. Could be your PSU has died, do you have another one to test this on?

ShykalSorry about that I forgot to put the link to the thread I made in here, I did my little rant in here then made the thread so as not to hijack this thread any further.

Thanks KMoore you found the thread, that is the CPU I have.

I'm going to be giving things a look over with Madrias' assistance to see if we can figure out if things can be fixed or if I need to replace anything. We will be doing so after the weekend.

I'll keep people posted if we sort the problem or not. And if I'm going to need replacement parts.

If only my brother had of just transferred the hardware from the smaller case to the bigger one and not tried anything, as my rig was running and at the point of only software needing installing, we just didn't like the cramped cables.

An update and good news. I've got the new upgrade/build working. It's running fine so far. My brother really thought something was wrong and either the Mobo or RAM were broken. Not the case as it's running fine with them. I'm thinking that he didn't have the GPU seated properly or when he RAID the drives it failed.

He then had my rig apart, I had to build it, get it back together. This was my 1st build done by myself with the guidance of Madrias, I thank him for his patience and time.

I'll get pics and a post up in the Mods and Rigs thread soon. I'm still yet to put in the 2nd GPU. And finish installing programs.

2nd GPU is in. I still had a little trouble as it's quite the fussy mobo. But it's running, I'm making this post using new rig.

Downside I've hurt my back moving all 33 lbs of it to an area that had space constantly.
