Sleinous ^She's a sneaky one Mad! :P Central? Now I have to go find what that is in GMT >.< Will you be on TS for link? EDIT: According to my googling its already been and gone :/ I'm not sneaky , Madrias is just forgetful sometimes, with me around though he's not as forgetful as he used to be . What would you do without me Madrias? Uh I could've assisted with time differences and posted them up, but I didn't think of it at the time sorry guys. While I'm on the opposite side of the world to Madrias atm I have a clock always set to his time.

^Clever, i'll make sure to ask you next time :P as I find timezones a pain and the only two I readily use are GMT+1 for France and GMT for UK as I travel a fair bit between the two. (Infact that can also be GMT+1 and GMT+2 when we move clocks forward... oh DST is such a pain!)

Madrias AGH! why must everything be so difficult?! I'm trying to figure out which of the bloody card halves is acting as primary. don't feel bad I had the same issue with my 460's in SLI, for some reason the primary card (top slot) my monitor is connected to was -gpu 1 and my second card (bottom slot) it was -gpu 0 so I just had to reverse the flags on my folding clients to fix it.

Problem temp-fixed. GTX 275 in top slot. Anyone know the cheapest way to do a 4 GPU setup?

Um, yeah, about the cards. I can run them as long as they're idle, but the minute I start folding, the temps climb well beyond my comfort zone of 90C. I've eaten enough of a PPD loss today that I'm powering down to put my 250 back in. I'll fight the GX2's another day.

My 9800 GX2 always runs between 94 and 99C. Have not had a problem yet though it is pretty hot.

I always run 9800 GX2s at 100% fan to make sure the heat doesn't build up. What are you running them at Mad?

Anyone who has ever run 9800GX2's will tell you they run hot. But for those cards it's quite normal. They were that way when they came out.

I ran several GX2's at 100% fan and 100+ temp for over a year, even temp limitted (105 deg). I gifted them to willing recipients (during an update of GPU's) in a different forum. They re-timmed the cards and were flying like new. Hot they were not New. Just bad TIM. I didn't have the time, willingness or patience to do it myself. But they are all still running for the recipients . Sean

You could also take the covers off if you havent done that yet. That will also allow some extra heat to escape. You could also put a 120mm fan blowing air directly into them.

I'll have to retry on Tuesday. Maybe if I don't look at the temps I won't get nervous. Oh, should the HAF 932 side fan be exhaust or intake to those cards?

I don't have the side panel on. I found out with the way the 295 kicks out air from it's side and back instead of just out the back it is just best to leave the side off.

Deffinatly intake, you WILL overheat if youd ont have fans on side panel. Only reason im getting away with a clear side panel with a 580/550/260/9800GT setup is because ive got a super thin fan underneath blowing air up.
