Aw crud! My laptop didn't record it! Apparently ustream decided 1 hour is too freaking long to record! Sorry to those who missed it, but I will leave a list. One E8400 on 680i SLI from EVGA One HX1000w from Corsair One Seagate Barracuda IDE hard disk (apparently pre-configured for my folding) One XFX 9800GX2 Two EVGA 9800GX2's Compaq Keyboard and Gateway mouse, PS/2 cabling IDE cable and DVI->VGA adapter I think that's all of it: not really planning on picking through it to figure it all out right yet. I'm still slightly shocked. Between the 9800GX2's and the 680i, I've got enough to make a holy mess out of my folding efforts. That and, well, the circuit breakers. Finding free power in this place is like trying to smell a fart in a tornado. Just FYI, pictures will be taken and up soon.

I have plans to. MadNet has been retired. While in the beginnings, it was strong, now it was only a shadow of its former self. When it's down to 3 boxes from 8, something's gone wrong. I figure, I can retire them and hopefully squish an additional 500w of free power out of the breakers.

Lucky you Madrias nice stuff you got there. I didn't get to see the opening I was asleep as one I'm currently on the other side of the world so my night is Madrias' day, two I'm also sick so he caringly let me sleep. He'll show me his loot privately not the same as the live opening but still yeah. Oh it's still the middle of the night here (2.52am) but I woke with a cough attack. drougnor Interesting decor. Looking forward to watching the carnage. That's what you get with shared housing and it's actually tidier than what it usually is, one time Madrias covered a pile of stuff with his graduation robe it didn't help that the robe was flaming red, made me laugh though.

Ahhh, shared housing . . . While I'm really in the same boat, only worse, because of our two boys, yes, I don't really have fond memories of the shared living spaces during and after college. At least with the 3 and 5 year olds, we can send them to bed when they get too rowdy.

Yeah, my plan is to put the GX2's in the 780i, the 275 and 250 on the 680i, and redo the mounting hardware for this CPU.

Yeah, I just need to get myself 4 screws, 4 nylon-backed locknuts, and 8 plastic washers first, then the war can begin... (just if you're curious, they're to replace intel pins on a cooler...)

A big THANK YOU to the following contributors of the Mystery Prize for Madrias!!! Barbarossa, mflanga, drougnor, and KMoore4318 for PayPal donations to pay for shipping & Corsair HX1000. Tanner2 for Windows 7 Professional used in setting up the hard drive. Rjbelans sent Madrias a V8 cooler and registered new 590s using his affiliate code. Patchesanook sent Madrias a 150GB Raptor to add to the system. Troy8d for passing along updates. Without their help I would not have been able to get this prize to Madrias!! If I forgot anyone, my sincerest apologies!!

I will be taking pictures, rebuilding, and live-streaming tomorrow, so I'm very likely going to be busy. Busy in that way we all know and love: making something awesome out of the parts I've been gifted.

Sorry about that. I overslept (blame Farthestkris, he decided to pull the all night gaming session...) but I can, will, and am going to run this thing tomorrow. Wednesday, 4/20, at 10 AM Central. Should give me enough time to assemble the beast.

Sleep deprivation where one begins to loose track of time, I was wondering when it would set in. I've been telling Madrias to get more sleep I see he's gone with not taking that advice. Oh well he listens to me when it counts .
