I am really not sure what is going on but I have started to experience crashes when folding and it is really impacting the production numbers as I am not even sure if [link=mailto:F@H]F@H[/link] completes the current unit or if it simply crashes. As usual, I will leave my computer to fold when I'm not using it, especially overnight, and I've woken up to a frozen and unresponsive computer for the past couple days. I had taken a break from folding for a month or so and was just getting back to it when this started to happen. I am partially worried because the issue seems to be very similar to what happened with my 980 Strix card which went back to ASUS because it wouldn't register my screens and I would really not want to deal with replacing this 980Ti. Is there a log or something which I can access and/or upload so I can get to the bottom of this issue? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If your Win 10 was an Upgrade --> then I highly recommend a clean install If Windows 10 performed an update before it went side ways, I'd manually reinstall the Nvidia drivers ---> Do Not use Win 10 update for GPU drivers; as it does Not always install the full pack ---> because, well you know MS know better how to set your PC

So i just started folding and it crashed again within 5 minutes. The card was running at 1227MHz which I don't believe is overclocked at all, and temps were at 45C - way below any temperature limits. MoBo didn't indicate any issues via error codes, and the symptom was the usual loss of DVI signal to both monitors. I get all my graphics drivers from the Nvidia GeForce Experience; however, I do perform the express installation. EDIT: My current driver is the 372.70 released 8/29/16

You're kind of in the overall PC reliability debugging situation. Folding really stresses a PC, so it makes stuff pop up faster. I'd try pulling all the memory except one stick because it's an easy thing to try. Make sure your BIOS is up to date. Fresh Windows 10 install. It could also be a power supply. What power supply do you have?

I just updated my signature to include my setup. I think it may just be the PC - at this point it's approaching the 5 year mark and its time to build another one but I need to find funds for a CPU and memory... Haha. I was secretly hoping I'd win something around the anniversary event but so does everyone else and it hasn't been my turn just yet. I'm going to reinstall the graphics drivers, flash the bios even though it's already the latest version, and pop the RAM. The only other thing I can think of is that the 980Ti was initially a stock card and I put the evga hybrid kit on it, so I don't know if it needs a more aggressive fan curve or whatnot for the rest of the components in the card.

An update on the situation. I have no idea what the actual fix was but here's all the steps I took to resolve it... 1. Flashed MB BIOS 2. Re-seated RAM 3. Re-seated card 4. Redid cables for card 5. Changed the VBIOS to 84.00.41.00.F0 from the stock one 6. Countless Reboots Good news is, the GPU no longer crashes and loses display signal at 46C. It's folding steadily at 51C and 1366 MHz.

One item I have found with this New Windows Upgrade Process that now plagues us. I do not see the same with Updates. They Force an older NVIDIA Driver Install even when our Programs & Features shows that the same Version as before the Upgrade. They change the Swap File and Page File Settings to include Size and Location. Both caused issues on all 3 of my Folding Rigs that where Upgraded this week. Also some minor Preference and Personalization Settings where reset back to the Defaults and ALL Reporting Settings are turn back on as well. Cool GTX Is correct above about clean removal and install of the Graphics Drivers.

Thanks for the update. Folding is setup so tight, that a gaming OC will not usually work without errors. Go easy on the MB & GPU OC for best stability. If you get errors back off on the OC
