currently him and his followers have outproduced folding @ EVGA by 7.5 million today. i do love to see new blood but i am curious as to how long they will keep outproducing folding @ EVGA. i do know though that their top folders are running dual zeon's with dual Titian XP's so those alone are doing a lot of work. not to mention that they have OVER 3,000 active users!

EDIT: August 31'st, the day we reached 100 Billion, Team Barnacules Nerdgasm beat Folding @ EVGA by 18.6 million PPD.

looking at averages on a team that's 4 days old is pointless, 3 days if you count the start of the team at the time the video was released. i posted this because if you look at your first image they are #1 in production so far today by 7.5 million, exactly 10%. this is a very recent event and one i think others would like to know about. and yes i know the day isn't over yet but i strongly doubt this trend will reverse course in a measly few hours.

It's cool to see so many new people.  I'm guessing a huge percentage of them don't have passkey's.

Well,it will be interesting to follow.

Over the last 15 years, some 1.8 million have come and gone.

It is easy to get people to "join" ...more challenging to get them to "stay"

I have pointed this out dozens of times on the FF before being banned, and again on the Reddit...before being banned.

Being consistently right just gets you no respect.  :)

as always, the potential to catch the next wave of VR technology exists for PG.

Lets see if they provide the support to harness and maintain the latest windfall. ;)

yeah, all i can see is that he you-tube tech blogs.

did a reasonable intro and description step by step VID.

I guess that is all you need to get bored people to try.

High end graphics cards do sell in the millions...how many hours a day can you possibly game....?

After the first $100 delta electric bill...the number who will stay...
the number who will stay when the client conflicts with newest drivers...
the number who will stay when PG changes the point system without warning or explanation...
The number who will stay after 6 months without any update whatsoever regarding research or leadership...

The list goes on , and on, and on.

Who know, 20th chance might be a charm and PG brings out some true leadership and communication so the next 500,000 folders don't quit after a few months of trying the latest fad.

If he can keep things going strong, I'm happy as a pig in filth. However, I agree with the 'power usage' fall off. However, I've reached out to him and invited him to pop into the forum here to say Hi if he feels like it. I wouldn't mind setting up a little friendly competition with someone willing to make a run at us!

haha Or who will stay after their first visit to the FaH forum and have a run in with the mods! LOL

I'm still think I'm going to run a GPU or two FaH this heating season along with my BOINC crunching.

Yep as last Winter I did heat my house Folding and Crunching.
Not sure I want to spend all the money on our over priced Gas in the Winter Time from Excel Energy.
At least Elect Cost is half what it is now in the summer time.

Late Fall Early Winter would be a good time to come out, it should be safe then.

Well we did take # 1 in production yesterday so we are Still #1 in Production

Do you not know math? Those avg's you are insistently looking over is of the last 7 days. The team has been active for 3 full days so far. That means it has four 0 days listed in its avg calculations. And no we lost to them for the second day in a row. They folded 129,306,554 and we folded 124,633,753 so they beat us by about 4.7 million yeaterday.

every avg you post pics of from extremeoverclocking is a 7 day avg. the only thing that is slightly relevant is that currently folding @ EVGA is ahead of Barnacules Nerdgasm by 4.6 million today. this however is day 2 of our monthly EVGA Bucks folding surge and will fall off some in a couple days. im just curious as to how long Barnacules Nerdgasm will be producing 125ish million per day, they are on track for 3 straight days.

Yeah, it will be interesting.  Drop off vs. new pickups because of the social media.  Plus, how sticky they are to the team.  Also, I think evga folding is on a steady upramp as more 10 series gpu's come online.  You guys have a better feel for the seasonality and other cycles though.

That all said, it's great to have new folders.

I give it to many of them see their first electric bill after they start folding.

i really don't see why this is as bad as it is. there are a lot of people that complain during the summer months when their A/C's are running and say that folding made their bill go up $100+, but that is just not accurate. after i the math i did to calculate the power usage and figure out how much my new 5 GPU folding rig would cost it came up to ~$80 a month, @ $0.21 per KWh. so divide that by 5 and you get $16 a month to run a 1070 FTW 24/7.

every avg you post pics of from extremeoverclocking is a 7 day avg. the only thing that is slightly relevant is that currently folding @ EVGA is ahead of Barnacules Nerdgasm by 4.6 million today. this however is day 2 of our monthly EVGA Bucks folding surge and will fall off some in a couple days. im just curious as to how long Barnacules Nerdgasm will be producing 125ish million per day, they are on track for 3 straight days.

I give it to many of them see their first electric bill after they start folding.

i really don't see why this is as bad as it is. there are a lot of people that complain during the summer months when their A/C's are running and say that folding made their bill go up $100+, but that is just not accurate. after i the math i did to calculate the power usage and figure out how much my new 5 GPU folding rig would cost it came up to ~$80 a month, @ $0.21 per KWh. so divide that by 5 and you get $16 a month to run a 1070 FTW 24/7.

i was saying $80 per month for 5 GPU's, people living from pay check to paycheck should sell 4 of those GPU's. also if i am reading that link to CO power rates right it looks like $0.09 per KWh with a base rate of $6.75... that seems a little low but the state avg is about $0.12 so it may be correct for you.

One sec tech difficulties on cellphone.

Edit: woops my calculation was for the 4 1070's I had running at the time not for 5. So $20 per month for a 200W TDP GPU.

I also do not know where you got 500W from but that is enough to run two titans folding, no cpu folding.
