Cool GTX
ipkha I'd hoped that they'd stick with it, every unit folded helps. I remember starting on a 8800gtx. Problem is most people logoff or turn their systems off when they're done. It's only the diehards that rock it overnight and 24/7 in some cases. Even I had to turn my system off at times due to heat and power bills from time to time.
+1 Power has not been too bad, based on my First Folding impacted bill increased $232.76 (change from last year; rolling previous 12 months is on the bill) Folding 24x7 on 2 Rigs with 4 GPUs cost me about $7.27 / day ---> this would include all power used including A/C & fans Consumed an extra 1,851 KWH and this was a hot September, so general A/C was up; and Folding based need of A/C.
that's a very high scary number there :( judging from that it might cost me $3-4 per day. i am from Cincinnati Ohio so maybe power is a bit cheaper here but will have to see.

Well he included AC in the cost. With cooler temps rolling in AC is somthing that shouldnt be needed any time soon.

Yep! I bet your 4 Million a day did not really make any difference. I have to ask what How much Coin do you get in return for 4 Million points a day? Now to I know why some members have a large number at the end of their Folding ID's like this one; 15k84jUoNPb1kodGvYtKDHiBPRX4Qs3kx8

What is one CC worth today? I remember when they first started the CC was worth folding. Then it fell to one half a penny or less. When the CC or BC price crashes, their production will taper off too.

Bill that long number is so they can fold Cure coin and the other coin called folding coin. They use that long number that becomes your to keep easier tract of points with out using two names for the two coins. That way folding coin knows who you are with out being on their team, and you just can not say you're soNso (a person folding a lot of points that is not you) I do believe that is how it works. Remember they (foldingcoin) wanted to get people involved with out changing teams. But you had to use a special name to prove it is you. To get CC you have to join CC's team

bill1024 Google is my friend. Looks like CC is worth a nickle (corrected). It must of been real low, and risen to .05 cent to get production up like it is https://www.coingecko.com...ce_charts/curecoin/usd Yeah it was a quarter of one penny, it peaked then fell again 90 day chart here. https://www.coingecko.com...s/curecoin/usd/90_days
It is $0.05 usd not 0.05 cents, that would be $0.0005 usd.
So there is not confusion in price, it is .049, just shy of a nickle. .

I guess if you want to get technical it is .50 cent But I clearly said one half penny. There was no confusion. But thanks a lot for clearing that up for us.
What i was trying to say it its worth 5 cent, one nickel, 5 hundredths of a dollar, 5 pennies. You are off by a factor of a hundred.

One thing to note - over on Extreme Overclocking, I checked out curecoin's stats and like us, they only have two billion-point weeks (10/2 and 10/9). The Time Zone Challenge will help us going forward, but that's just something to keep in mind ;)

welp, looks like Curecoin daily production has finally started to fall. after 11 straight weeks of growth they finally dropped about 60 million PPD in the last two days. but they are still currently beating us by about 40 million PPD. but when the 1st rolls around tomorrow you can bet we will be back on top.

Indeed. I think it was either Friday or Saturday that I checked and saw they were at 1.4 years (until they'd overtake us). This morning as of 6 AM, that widened out just a bit to 1.7 years

They are. Cure just had a fallout due to decreased profitability due to the surge of new members. That and the coin is about half that of what it was a month ago.

Yea CureCoin is almost like what pharmaceutical companies are, they are only after the profit and not the Cure.

Sadly, I saw that bubble coming the day they announced. All of the Alt coins I've seen go through a period of finding their audience, then a massive explosive growth, then plummet before settling into a long haul level.
