Hi there, I got a serious problem with my X58 FTW3 mb now. Today I tried to follow the procedures on:  to flash my bios, everything worked fine except after the flash completed, I pressed the F1 button first, then pulled my usb drive off (only 0.1sec later I think). But after that, nothing came up on my display anymore! And there is no beep from the PC speaker like always. The LED used to display CPU temperature is showing 04 EA 01 68 and keep rotating.

Is this meaning I need to send my mb back to EVGA and get fixed? Please help cause I really need this PC these days.... Thanks in advance!!

Never had to do it, but you can prepare your USB flash drive on another PC with this method for recovering from a bad BIOS flash (use USB instead of a floppy) and give it a go..Add the lines in step 4 to the autoexec.bat and try it..The latest BIOS (83) is an .iso, not the .bin that's needed for the USB flash method at the EVGA Download Center for your X58 FTW3..Version 82 is a .bin though and 83 is available as a .bin, it's just not listed in the Download Center, however, it's on their servers at http://cdn.evga.com/bios/E76883.bin should you want it.

According to your mobo manual, Removable = First Boot Device..But you may need to disconnect the Hard Drive(s) and CDROM drive(s).

    Just a few thoughts..Good luck.

The codes you are getting dont sound like a bad bios flash.  Have you cleared the CMOS with the reset button on the board?  You may just have some settings in it CMOS that will not work with the new bios and its tripping up over itself.  It like using the wrong answer key to a new test in school.

Yup. EVGA's BIOS flash procedure usually even instructs you to clear the CMOS.

Bottom of your board is a jumper label BIOS move the jumper to the other position activates the backup BIOS which will enable you to boot it back up.  Make a new BIOS flash drive.  Turn off replace the jumper to original position reflash.  after the flash is done hold in the power button then pull your power cord or flip the PSU into the off position clear CMOS go back into BIOS and reload defaults.  then reboot and re do your settings.  this should fix your problem.  if not just use the backup BIOS and try flashing with a different method instead of USB.  like the ISO method.  Hope this helps.
