I am thinking about getting the EVGA 980 Hydro for 4 way SLI and water cooling it. I have never water cooled before and I was wondering how big of a radiator (or 2 radiators?) I should get and also is there anything to look out for or be aware of for connecting the 4 GPU's?

Thanks in advance.

I see them for sale right now on EVGA website.

Actually I am kind of worried about 4 GB of Vram for 4K gaming now... Why do I keep forgetting about that!?!? Or should I just forget about Vram cuz 4 GB is enough for 4K at all Ultra? I dunno cuz  I am a noob!!

Edit: Ok looking into it looks like 4GB might be enough even for 4K... Thx consoles!!

I would like more vram as well. Not sure why they are still using 4GB..
At least 6gb per GPU would be nice. Even the classy and kingpins are only 4gb. Lame.
I am thinking of getting some kingpins and watercooling them but wish there was more vram.

Yea the Vram thing is you know.. Like if Crysis 4 came out and they are like "Yea we do it for the PC guys" then you know 4GB of Vram is not gonna be enough.

They say one Rad+Fan for reach block. Like on my rig I only have 3 Rad but 4 block, but after the block I have 2 rad 2 fan that helps cooling before the water returns back to the pump so I really have 5 Rad 5 Fan. Also I run push/pull that means that I have 6 Fans up top before the 4 GPUs and then 4 more fans after the 4 GPUs.

My CPU has 3 Rad now only because I am waiting for the VRM & X99 Chip Water Blocks from nateman_doo

Cool, cool. I might try to just copy your rig. I think I am allowed to be a follower for my first water cooling rig.

Now I just got to convince my better half...

Most Water Coolers don't really care for the way I do mine.
Most say One Loop is more than enough or it is a waste to use Two Radiators in one loop and so on.

I look at it this way. No mater how you do your build their is only one rule and that rule is to Have Fun Building It.

If it were me, I would just buy the regular GTX 980's and purchase and install good quality full cover blocks myself as I think it's quite a bit cheaper.

    EVGA Z97 FTW.  i7-4790K, G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3-2400 x 16gb (2 x 8gb), EVGA GTX970 SC 4GB (EK Full Cover Blocks with parallel bridge) (SLI), EVGA Supernova 1200w,  Feser X-Changer 120.3 radiator x 2, Swiftech MCP355 w/xspc res top x 2, Heatkiller 3.0 (CPU).

Yea I see. Actually I already have 2 GTX 980 SC so I can use those for that. (I was going to sell them if not) Also I was kind of rethinking 4 way SLI after seeing how much stuttering it had on a Youtube video. (I was hoping G-sync can get rid of the stuttering but I am starting to learn that's not the case)

Maybe I can do a custom BIOS flash on the cards with the water cooling for a very high overclock and I would have a more smoother and faster gaming experience.

But most likely I will probably just brake my card trying.

In the long run they would be better at Overclocking and they are in stock today on EVGA's Web Site.
I like mine and the Stock Clocks they are set to. I did look at the cost and with the Water Block Preinstalled you are only pay about $30 More.
And they come with back plates to boot.
