The original and in my opinion the best Overclocking guide I have read to date.

The next one I would read is this one.

    More reading material.

It is Pretty hard to mess anything up. It will either post or not post and if you get stuck and can't undo what you just did. You have two buttons on your MotherBoard called CMOS. Little red button that resets your Motherboard so you can start over.

Yea anybody can give you some settings. They may work, then again maybe they won't. What is the fun in that though? Read the guides and give it a try your self. The one that I think anybody can grasp is the second one I linked you to. The first is more for those that already have a decent grasp on how a computer works and knows there way through the BIOS.

IF YOU GET STUCK ON YOUR OVER CLOCK!
We will need your BIOS Template.

Copy, Paste, and adjust the values to what you are currently at.
Someone will most likely come and help you out. Post it in the X58 Section though. While it says Overclocking this is more for the Extreme Overclockers who use DICE, LN2, Chillers, and people who run extreme loops.

Edit - Forgot to mention, while these guides are mainly focused on the Intel Core i7 920 they work for any of the Bloomfield CPU's. i7 920 through i7 960.

Edit #2 - Also it helps us help you to have your specs in your Signature. Even if it is a simple list.

Before I came to this forum, all I knew about overclocking was "cranking the CPU's speed" and that's it lol... +1 to those guides loveha provided, I made good use of them and taught myself how to OC. I'm sure you can too!

BTW here's another useful guide to diagnose BSODs with unstable overclocks. A must read IMHO:

    Hello guys,
My MB is EVGA X58 E770 Classified 3 with CPU Intel Core i7 950 and RAM:
