Dear EVGA GTX 1080 Classified owners:

Thank you for being a EVGA GTX 1080 Classified owner!  EVGA understands that you have been waiting for a ICX option and we are sorry this has not become available, but in order to support our classified owners we are offering a special 120 Day Step-up option, from the original purchase date, so that you may Step-up to the EVGA GTX 1080 Ti if you choose to.

If you do own a EVGA GTX 1080 Classified graphics card and wish to Step-up, then please contact our Support at 1-888-881-3842 Option 1 or by email at Support@evga.com with the registered serial number so that we can work with you to enable this option and enter you into the queue.

Once again thank you for your patience and for being an EVGA Customer.

    Hi to all,

I was on the phone with EVGA and people with EVGA GTX 1080 Classified as EVGATech_ChrisB stated wil have a 120 days special step up program only to 1080Ti Founders Edition.  That is currently available for step up program to all. According to what I was told, the 1080Ti FTW3 will not be available for the step up program. The only 1080 Ti that will be in the step up program will be the Founders Edition.

    Best Regards,

Just submitted my request. I guess a ti FE is better than nothing. Wish we had the option of the FTW seeing as we paid the premium for the classified but oh well.

You dont have to wait through the icx line for this opportunity. You have 120 days as well, so you could wait to see if more cards are added to the list later.

So... I think I need a clarification on this. Cause I will admit I am a little lost. So there is not going to be a GTX 1080 Classified ICX? (mainly curious). But right now we can Step-Up to the GTX 1080 TI FE. And then what? We can step up to the ICX version (I am assuming not?)

EVGA dose not disclose information on products that have not been launched; except press releases

So, GTX 1080 Classified ICX has not been made available is a fact.  If it is going to be available is not known

I just went through the process and found that to not be true.  I was told by staff that it extended your original step-up to 120 days.  It apparently does not create a new step-up window that is 120 days long.  My product was out of the step-up window regardless of 90 or 120 days.

They consulted the e-mail they received and even consulted a supervisor.  So if that's not the intention of upper management in this deal, then they need to extend communication to their staff and clarify.

Unless that clarification becomes forthcoming, one does not have time to dawdle on this.

    Hi Xarzi,

If you do not see a card that you want to Step-up to listed at http://www.evga.com/Stepup then you may wait to see if more models are added later or you can choose to stay with your Classified card.  Please keep in mind that the GTX 1080 Classified is a great card, but we wanted to give our customers the option since the ICX option for the classified is not available at this time.

Seriously? This thread makes it sounds like you get 120 days starting today. If that isn't the case then that is kinda stupid. There isn't anything offered for us to step up to like the ICX so our 90 days doesn't get reset.

How early in January?  You might still be within the 120 day extended step-up period.

They consulted the e-mail they received and even consulted a supervisor.  So if that's not the intention of upper management in this deal, then they need to extend communication to their staff and clarify.

Unless that clarification becomes forthcoming, one does not have time to dawdle on this.

Seriously? This thread makes it sounds like you get 120 days starting today. If that isn't the case then that is kinda stupid. There isn't anything offered for us to step up to like the ICX so our 90 days doesn't get reset.

Well then i am royally screwed. I bought my GTX 1080 Classified on August 3rd. So if they are only giving you 120 days from when you bought it I am out of luck unless they do a 1080 Classified ICX and then allow me to step up to a 1080 TI from there.

Same here, last August for me too. So other 1080 owners could step up to ICx, then have the window reset. However classifieds owners can only go to the 1080ti if purchased in the last 120 days. Can the step up window not be reset for all classifieds owners?

I have to say, I am in the same boat as well.  I bought mine in August as well as soon as Microcenter had inventory.  Hopefully an ICX model will release.  Either way this is nice of EVGA to do for those who are in step up window.  I guess selling on the open market now, would yield maybe $400-425 USD for the card.
