Seen on Jacob's Twitter. 1060 + 120Hz + G-Sync I'm quite interested. I've wanted an EVGA laptop for a while but the SC17 was always slightly too large and expensive. What price point do you think this will be offered at? Also, how long after showcases like this does it take for a release of a product?

my best guess is probably around $1,500 - $2,000
also the SC15 looks awesome and I can't wait for specs and new info about the laptop ^^

My guess is it will be no less than $2000.00 since the SC17 Gaming is $2700 and the SC17 (1070) Gaming is $2800. I have not had a gaming laptop in about 8 years, so it would be interesting to see how the SC17 1070 performs. I like the idea of portability without having to take my PC. It may not be anything like my PC, but it will probably satisfy some of my gaming needs when I'm not at home. :D :D :D D: D: D:

Ah crap! I sort of promised to consider an EVGA laptop if they made a smaller version. Here I see that EVGA may be releasing the laptop I hoped for... But, unfortunately, I just purchased a Razer Blade laptop yesterday (EDIT: the late 2016 model with the GTX 1060) to replace my 5 year old laptop after looking at and drooling over the Razer Blade line for the past couple years. Bad timing! What price point do you think this will be offered at? After checking out quite a few reviews and looking at quite a few similar laptops recently, I would imagine that EVGA's laptop -- with those specs, appearance, and construction -- would be in the $1900+ range.

I'm interested in this SC15 as well, although EVGA seems to be pricing their laptop offerings far higher than most other machines with similar specs.
I've also had my eye on the new Razer Blade with the 1060, price is not too bad. The Dell XPS13 is nice too, although it's only integrated graphics. I'm kind of flipping whether to go for light weight over heavy gaming capability since I use my desktop 98% of the time.

It looks like there is not a USB on the left side. I watched this video .At 3:35 you get a pretty clear look at the left side. I see a power port, Then data port, Mic and Headset and (possibly) two volume controls. But it's clear there is no USB on that side. : ( Thanks, Bret

Feedback I would give though:
Add a USB to the left side!
I'm not crazy about the gap between the base and the screen.
Lovely laptop though

Just sold my existing laptop this morning. I'd be very interested in the SC15 but I have a feeling final specs and release will be months away. Likely I'll be going with the Gigabyte Aero 14WV7 - 14" QHD IPS screen (2560x1440), i7-7700HQ, GTX-1060, 32GB 2400MHz ram, 500GB m.2 SSD (altho I'll likely put a 500GB 960 Pro PCIe in there), USB Type-C included, huge 9 hour battery (browsing etc), and just over 4lb weight.. pretty sweet machine, and a little over $1,800 for all that. Windows 10 included but only home edition - can be upgraded to Pro.

I'm really liking the keyboard on this laptop - full numeric pad and arrow keys that are separate from it just like my desktop keyboard. I mention this because i'm a lefty and i use the arrows and numeric pad as my main controls during gaming since my mouse is on the left. Great stuff! Also the 120hz G-sync is definitely something i'd love in a laptop.
One thing though - won't the GTX 1160 be out in June/July though? Would be really great to get one of those in it.

Umm.. GTX 1160? There is virtually zero information to indicate that the "GTX 1160" is anything other than a bad rumor. What, is there like one 1-minute-long video claiming an 1160 will exist and a couple forum posts in another language? There is much more reliable information indicating that the next NVIDIA release will be the 2000 series later in the year.

FYI - I just pulled the trigger on the Gigabyte Aero 14WV7 - 14" QHD IPS screen (2560x1440), i7-7700HQ (2.8GHz - 3.8GHz boost), GTX-1060 (6GB), 32GB 2400MHz Hyper-X ram (2 x 16GB), 512GB m.2 SSD (I'll likely put a 960 Pro PCIe in there once prices drop a little), USB Type-C included, Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (have to get used to it eventually), HUGE 9 hour battery (browsing), and just over 4lb weight. Just on $2k for that (the W10 Pro instead of W10 Home pushed the price up a bit). Stoked!

Agreed. I hope that changes too, I've always been put off by those gaps when looking at Clevo laptops. Makes it look less premium / sleek. Anyone know how much this weighs?

The gap is there to improve the venting and cooling of the CPU and GPU out the back while still keeping the screen hinge low so that the profile is thin when the lid is closed. Unfortunately, it's a challenge to make it vent freely and not have a gap. For instance, the Razer Blade laptops, without a similar gap, vent into the hinge, up onto the screen, up above the keyboard, into your face. So, you kind of have to make a design choice when making a thin laptop: to have elegance and no gap at the price of less usability and less cooling, or better cooling and better usability, but have a gap.

I see, that makes sense. I guess it'd be stupid to ask for no gap, but the gap really stands out. I hope it can be reduced a bit. Either way, I am excited for this laptop!

Yeah i meant how it looks from the CES video clip. I just hope they update the graphics card to a GTX1160 or GTX2060 (whatever the next edition will be called) coz by June that will be the time of year that Nvidia starts shipping new cards.
