I did something the other day that  seemed to make coolant temp start to show CPU temp.
My z270 FTW K MB like some other MB has the post LED show CPU temp and they both had the same number.

Also what color setting do a nice easy to follow color shift as things get hotter ?

MB BIOS only has 4 setting points so not sure which I plan to use ( Software or BIOS) after closing up the DG-87 case.

Would have like to seen control for all the mb fan headers in the software. Cant be that hard to add it.

What does that have to do with the EVGA CLC 120/280 Liquid CPU Coolers?
Corsair does not have MB Fan Header Control in Corsair Link, the equivalent of EVGA Liquid CPU Coolers EVGA Flow Control Software.
We have asked for this in their EVGA E-LEET Software as well and never went anywhere. So Best of Luck.

be cause with my h100i i can control 4 fans off it and it pulls power from a sata connector, and with link you can add nodes to control more fans and you have one nice interface to make changes and monitor everything, yes i know you can set the fans in the bios but why not bring that control to the desk top, asus, gigabyte msi all let you so why not evga? you usually pay a premium for evga products so i guess i just expect little more.

A little off Topic but are you saying that your Corsair Link Controls your Motherboard Fan Headers?

No, i probably wont use them at all except the cpu one. The rest of them will go to either the 4 off my h100i or to the corsair mini commander. My point is since evga is now doing a clc with software controls then why not add control for all the pwm headers as well, a total solution type setup. How nice would it be to have one software interface to control your gpu, cpu cooler and fans? Maybe even integrate eleet into it for overclocking. Just seems to make sense to me.

You bring up a valid point. Why doesn't EVGA have desktop software to control all the fans on it's motherboard like all the top mobo mfg do. People are paying a premium for evga motherboards but are receiving less features.

A good Topic for a New Thread under EVGA Software.
Maybe as part of EVGA E-LEET Software.

I would still like evga to say what the total draw of this with two fan and pump are pulling, i know the 270 manual states that a max of 1A is allowed on each fan header, and since the whole thing runs off one header that could be a issue, for example my h100i pulls a total of 1.7A with two fans and the pump at full speed, and if i add two more fans ( yes i realize the evga unit only has two fan connectors but someone use a pwm splitter ) that adds about another amp of draw.

Was reading that the NEW z270 motherboards:
The review said makers were using this small upgrade from the z170 to add some extra features.

For example one of the items, ( They said )

the headers can differentiate between a water pump and high-speed,
PWM fan, and they support up to 2 amps per-header with built-in overcurrent protection.

well thank you very much captain obvious, guess i never have figured that out since 2006 when i joined here. but since it seems that i am bothering you i will not ask nor answer any other questions. And did you ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe i have done that? and the fact that many times in the 11 years i have been on these forums i have seen evga_tech answer thousands of questions.

will be interested to see what , if any, bugs come up. not a fan of being a beta tester, especially for important stuff like a cpu cooler.

I still think the z270 MB BIOS is watching in the background and doing changes -- keeping me safe :-)

BUT now I can adjust pump speed ( or at least it seems so )

I have never seen much need for adjusting the pump speed, as long as I can see the pump speed that's all I need. Adjusting fans is way more important to me.

Master Jacob

Any update on when your EU store will be getting the CLC 280 back in stock?. I made a mistake and ordered one from SCAN UK as it was showing item due in 24 February, but they now can't confirm the date.

I am going to cancel and order directly from EVGA, like I should have in the first place.

Asus X570 Dark Hero, Ryzen 5900x, 32GB Crucial Ballistix 3600mhz, RTX 3090 FE, 500GB Samsung 980 Pro, BX500 Crucial 2TB, Be-quit 500DX, Corsair AX1000, Razer Basilisk U, Asus Scope TKL Deluxe, ASUS PG279QM G-SYNC.

Sync Function with my EVGA 1070 FTW doesnt work.
Fan Curve automatically does not work.
I think here is something to do.
It Would be nice if the Water Software can be integrated to EVGA Precision X.
So u don`t have to use two programs for adjusting some things.

When will there be a final and working Version?
Is it possible to make a pull configuration with these  EVGA fans?

I have the same problems as your but don't forget this software is BETA not WHQL as we know there some bugs! Still wait for new software coming soon!!!

Sounds good!!! But....
If Cool Software go into EVGA precision X don't forget other peoples are using MSI Afterburner then they cannot use this software on MSI Afterburner!!! So that mean we have two programs either for graphics card and CPU cooler!!

Hope if that help

Well- as long as I can read the GPU temp on my Apple watch - I will be happy with one or the other one :-)

BUT at this time MSI Afterburner!!! ( which I like a small bit more) doesn't control both fans on the NEW EVGA FTW2 type cards

BUT I have to use 3 programs : I use the DG-Tuner (EVGA case fans )  as well as the other 2

Trying the new version (Driver Version: 2.0.0.3)

While folding tonight I could not get the program out of the minimized state in the task bar ( windows-10)
resource CPUWB.exe CPU water Block was taking 12 % average cpu.

After ending task and restart program - the program did not have CPU temp date. I am sure a re-boot will fix but want to wait for folding to finish.
---------------- edit adding-------
Re-boot did fix the missing CPU temp data all that was there before was *C
Check for update still gives an HTTP error

And Thanks for the new update the Software and new EVGA cooler are keeping my system cool and with a lot less fan noise over air cooler

I did un-installed but forgot to delete the EVGA folder that some say is a good idea.
I did not want to get the  the wrong folders as I am using ( E-leet , DG Tuner , Flow control and EVGA Precision XOC )

Still not sure on fan speed graph if Temperature axis is always CPU or Fluid temp
( yes this is a Water cooling program but as we move to a all thing software would be nice to make it clear )

The program lets us set the LED colors on the EVGA cooler to follow CPU or Fluid temperature.
( I can't get that to work right or it is not sticking ) seems like I have to toggle the led on and off.
This may just be me not understanding or fiddling too much before saving the parameters.

Setting a curve using % but reading a graph of the data in RPM make one have to double check if it is actually doing what we ask. The general user may not want the extra information.

Re: EVGA CLC 120/280 Liquid CPU Coolers 2017/03/07 17:56:23 (permalink)
Hey all, first post on the forums.  Just wanted to point out a bug in the Flow Control Software.  Not sure if anyone has mentioned it or not, haven't seen it after a quick search.

Installed the new version (2.0.0.3) the other day and not long after noticed my delete key on my keyboard stopped working.  Took the board apart and didn't see anything obvious.  After a reboot, keyboard worked again and didn't think anything of it.  Well, I noticed it stopped working again today so i said screw it and bought a new keyboard...immediately saw the same issue.  The top post I found after a search was saying that Precision X was the culprit, but it was quite old.  Tried closing Precision X and uninstalling but didn't fix the problem.  Then I remembered Flow Control.  Closed the program and voila!  Delete key works.  Verified with both keyboards.

Anyway, just wanted to point this out.  Sounds like it was an issue before and came back with the new software.

Anyone else experience this?

Edit:  I guess I should provide some system details...  I am on Windows 10 (64bit) with a 4790K (@4.7GHz) on an MSI Z97 Gaming 5 board.  If there is any other details desired, i will happily provide them.

Have see 2 items
( One: see above - when we can't get the program in the task bar to go active and Isaw 12 % cpu use then)
Two: Not point a finger at OCX or water block just yet but if I use my USB switch to  connect my Logitec G19 to another computer then come back the keyboard does not totally comeback -ie key lights default and NO LCD updates of GPU/CPU temps)
but the key do work

I  will test the delete key next time and look for  the problem you saw.

--I use the 4 position USB switch all the time on several Windows 7 and windows 10 systems before with no problems and it is with HI CPU uses ( FOLDING ) when  I  saw it happen so that may be a clue on software priority level ?

first of all...HELLO EVERYONE. i just bouth the clc 280 (followed by the z270 ftw and 1070 ftw hybrid).

i want signal that with the last version (2.0.0.3), sometimes at the pc starting, the fans start and remain at max speed, until i click double time on auto mode for disable and re-able it.

and i have 1 question:

can i replace  the evga clc fans with other fans 24v, or the clc support only 12v fans?

My problem with the keyboard not switching USB ports was NOT the Water block but using the (K) button on the  EVGA  DG-87 case.
It may be sharing the front USB3 - I will have to investigate some more. (case K button speeds up the case internal fans)

I can't try the K button in the water block software as it says to disable Icloudservices.exe/chrome.exe/and something else.

I think I want to try using 2  fan headers ( CPU1 and CPU2) one for pump and one for fan and let BIOS  have backup control.
Then be able to use a setting in water block  to track parameters.

We do have firmware in the water block but not sure what features are available that we can ask to be changed.

May not make any difference to us but looking at the connections from unit to the fans only one wire set to one fan has the speed RPM wire. You may want to mark which fan if you ever replace one or try to run with one fan out of order.
It is easy to switch the wire sets.

I did add a tie-wrap as they pull apart easy.
