its such an haunting texture, and it just looks like part of the material - like it was molded right into the delrin.  The pre-blasted pictures made the skull pop out more, the blasting makes it blend in and kind of float in the material.

Hey nate I've been building my own pc's for a very long time & currently bought a stinger. I've never done any serious water cooling but am interested in this block if your still making them. I'm not new to evga but never posted so from what I've read the rules won't allow me to pm you. I will check back and see if you replied. Thanks.

The wifi version is slightly different I hear.  Not that it is a problem, but I designed it for the regular version.  Someone here made a tiny copper shim and it worked well for them.

I honestly don't think you will be able to find 3 other bodies to start a new batch sadly.

What do you mean by 3 other bodies? Isn't the z170 similar to the z97?

I do things in batches.  Its more efficient for a CNC to do several things at once.  If you find a handful of people I generally make anything.

tell you the price of what? the stinger, or a new Z170?  I can't quote a price on something that I didn't design.

Do you remember what thickness of thermal pads you used for the block? Would eliminate my guesswork/ remounting several times.

generally 1mm works.  Sorry I didnt get back sooner.  Its so much faster to email me.  Let me know how it went.  I think when they merge multiple motherboard forums it messes up the thread subscriptions, so I dont get notified.

Glad to hear its still doing its thing over the years :)

It's working well. However I think I need to open it up and clean it out as I was using a pastel coolant and it really gunked up my loop. I'll say it again, awesome block man!

I am so angry at photobucket for ruining so many threads like this one.
Was looking forward to taking a trip down memory lane.

Glad to hear the block is working well for you!
