So this is what happened. Earlier today I overclocked my CPU from 4.3 to 4.4 to try it out. Everything was working fine. I turn the computer off. I turn it back on an hour later and now it isn't turning on at all. First I thought maybe it was my PSU but I tested another one and and it still doesn't work. Maybe something is wrong with my motherboard? It won't turn on from my case button on button on the motherboard either. Thoughts? I hit the clear CMOS button on it. Nothing. Changed the BIOS switch. Nothing.

You might have to hold down the clear CMOS for 10 seconds.

It doesn't come on at all?

    Hello,

I am sorry to hear that.

Do you have any stand by lights on the motherboard turning on or off when you press the power button? do fans twitch or turn on at all?

Just the one white LED. No twitching of the fans either. Hitting the CMOS button didn't do anything either. The power light on the MB is just flickering.

Are you referring to the CMOS battery?

Unplug the PSU from the wall, hold the power button down for 30 seconds to drain everything, let it all sit for 10 mins, hit the clear cmos button, plug the PSU back into the wall and hit the power button on the motherboard....not the case and see if it boots.

This. Depending on the PSU it could be the failsafe kicking in. A full drain and power cycle as wmmills indicates should clear it.

    Have water, will cool.

I think he probably solved it kougar. It's been quite awhile since the last post and he would have been back way earlier if he was still stuck. Although, I agree with you thst it was probably his PSU using its protections for some reason which was why I gave him the advice I did.

Nothing worked. I ended up calling EVGA and they had me run a bare bones test which also came up with nothing so I am RMAing my Mobo. Thank you for the help though.

Installed the new MB and it works great!

I still have no idea what is wrong with my old one.
I did everything you guys suggested and seared old forums for other solutions and couldn't get it to turn on.
I also tried a "bare bones" test  which is what tech support recommend I do where I unplugged everything including my GPU all my memory sticks (except one) everything plugged into the back of my computer (minus the power) and it still wouldn't turn on. Sending my old one back to EVGA today.

    Again,

    Thanks for everyone's help.

Good to hear this is exceptional when having EVGA products the support and turnover for replacement is 2nd to none. Which keeps me as a lifetime customer, there will be failures no matter what cannot be perfect even with inspection, the role EVGA staff plays is top notch to what I have seen others go through yikes.
