Specs
Processor
AMD Athlon X4 860K Quad Core Processor (3.7 GHz)
RAM
16GB
Graphics Card
EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 TI (6gb)
OS
Microsoft Windows 10
MotherBoard
MSI Intel H81 LGA 1150 DDR3 USB 3.1 Micro ATX Motherboard

Every once in a while I will be browsing the internet or playing a game and my screen will go black and either go into HDMI Powersaving Mode or flash for 10 seconds and come right back on. I know it is going to happen when I hear my Graphics Cards fan starts whirring. I have no idea why it is doing this and I have the latest driver which is version 378.66 which was released 2/13/17. If anybody knows why please tell me, it's not a problem it is just an annoyance.

Make/model/age of power supply? What is the temp of the graphics card when the issue occurs? Have you tried using ddu to clean out your graphics drivers then doing a clean install of the latest drivers to see if it helps fix the problem? Does this issue occur on all gpu outputs? Have you tried another hdmi cable?

Corsair 850 watt about a year and a half old, temperature of the graphics card is about 86f stable and about 120-140f when running games or VMware. I have used DDU in safe mode to remove my previous AMD drivers. It occurs on both VGA and HDMI and I am not running on a display port cable (unless HDMI is a display port cable). Never been OC'd or anything. I run my power performance at normal instead of high energy usage.

Set windows power options to high performance. Under global settings inside the nvidia control panel set power management mode to adaptive. Reboot pc & retest for the issue.

Hahaha yep I have to blame America for our stupid idea of not being like everyone else. Someday we will switch to Celsius for now though, all I know is Fahrenheit. Also to sajin, there has not been any problems yet so it is working so far. Thank you.

OK, follow up after 3 days, it has occurred less but still has occurred. Now instead of going into HDMI power saving mode it just turns right back on and acts as if nothing happened. It doesn't do this while gaming and it usually only does this when I first start using the computer or I restarted the computer when updating it. Like I said it doesn't bother me but it is a slight annoyance. I feel it may be my motherboard not transferring enough power to it or the card requires more than I am giving it. Let me know if you think that is what it is.

Try running a older graphics driver to see if that helps fix the problem. I'd recommend trying 353.06
